I'm slowly getting caught up on this thing, and I really want them, just once, to call up Spencer and actually play 40 minutes of D&D, instead of calling up Spencer, chatting for half an hour, and then playing ten minutes

Wasn't the pac-man thing originally something like, pac-man eating a bunch of small pellets leading up to a large one labelled "establishment"? That was hilarious. I'm on episode 126, the previous one was with Joel McHale teaching Duncan Trussell to be mean and it was great. It depends on the guest(s), but many of them are really good IMO. Without guests too much of too many episodes is just Dan going on his dumb pseudo-libertarian rants which is the main thing I could really do without. It looks like HQ doesn't premiere until the Spring. I'm sure you could just wait until the whole thing is released, sub for one month, binge and cancel if you really wanted, but who knows how long that'll be.

Pretty good show until Harmon drove it right into a wall with that double mastectomy lady. There's another podcast I listen to, "My Brother, My Brother and Me", that has a very firm rule for their live shows: No bummers. I feel like Harmontown badly needs to adopt that rule.

I think it's interesting, plus that's kind of Dan's style anyway, the lows are low so that the highs are extra high. I used to listen to MbMbM, it's a good show, but I don't think you can compare the two. They serve a different audience.
