His worst offense is, occasionally, he'll ramble on about "my favorite video game ever" for a few minutes, usually pertaining to some new badges for the day. Sometimes he'll ask you trivia questions about the game, and it always results in at least one free play. Don't forget to play the practice catcher once a day for free play(s). Curiously, they changed his reaction when you decline his paid play offer from the Japanese version. He actually slinks his head beneath his shoulders and guilt trips you.

After visiting it once, i can say i'm not really into the thing, but i'm still gonna be laughing about all those idiots who mysteriously won 300 badges in a day without paying a single cent recently getting banned and wondering that they get thrown out for what basically amounts to cheating in a casino.

They probably changed his reaction because the EU has laws against children's games pressuring the player to spend money. Same thing happened to the StreetPass Mii Plaza DLC.

I have 500 badges because I wanted Kirby and Pikmin all over my screen. I've spent some money on it but not that much but that number makes me feel guilty anyway.

I bought a couple of plays on the first day or two but since then I haven't spent anything and hit 200 badges a while back just from the free plays It's a neat way to kill like 3 minutes

I like Fire Emblem but I can't play more than one mission a day because I take so long to plan every turn and it's really draining. I'll finish an hour-long mission and it'll say it was seven turns and I'm like what the gently caress. But I like when my dudes hit things and their numbers go up and they become friends with each other.

I followed this guy's instructions and ended up with a solid red block on my lower screen. Rebooted my system; seems none the worse for wear but I'm not any closer to getting this thing to play a Japanese 3DS game. I tried it again and now I get a message in the 3DS software saying "An error has occurred. Please save your data in any software currently in use, and then restart the system." Am I boned? Will I never play my stupid idiot Asian wackadoo card game on my dumbass handtoy? Help, please.

I had to try it around ten to fifteen times before it finally worked. It's super finicky. Also, it worked after I switched my theme to "no theme," but that might be an unrelated correlation. Or an instruction that wasn't listed on the instructions.

Awesome! posted:what planning do you need other than "move my paired up world destroying donny one space inside the enemy range and wait" I dunno maybe I'm bad at the game but I often end up having to intricately plan stuff so that the guys I'm trying to level get kills while also no one vulnerable is in range of a living enemy at the end of a turn. Although the last mission I played (on the docks, 12 I think?) I was just trying to plug a chokepoint and inadvertently set off a cascade of a dozen units suiciding against Kellam and leveling him like three times in one turn so I think I'm seeing what you mean.

I'm so hard for Etrian Odyssey now. Just got started on Millennium Girl, and already the QoL improvements are making it feel even better than EO4. I thought one first person dungeon crawler/draw-your-own-drat-map RPG was enough thanks to Persona Q, but as it turns out, those were the good aspects of the game. I think the things that soured me was the ultra fanservice writing and the gimmicks in the later dungeons. Oh, and the last boss being a two-part 45-minute fight that could go to poo poo at any turn. I started in Story Mode per the game's recommendation, is it worth playing through it this way, or is Classic Mode more enjoyable?

Puyo Puyo Tetris you have Ubisoft to thanks for since they are holding the Tetris license in the West at the moment and not allowing other companies to release Tetris games.enojy posted:I started in Story Mode per the game's recommendation, is it worth playing through it this way, or is Classic Mode more enjoyable? EO4 is the superior game so if you would prefer to play classic mode just stick with EO4. All Untold has going for it is some QoL improvements and the story mode.

Story mode is pretty bland, but you don't get access to the extra dungeon in Classic, so you end up hurting on the level curve in the latter.
