If there was a multiplayer component, even just somehow sharing a map and seeing what your friends built, I could see losing a lot more time.

I love Spacechem because solving a puzzle feels like you've somehow tricked the game with your super clever solution but then the stats screen comes up and you realize your solution is inefficient and awful compared to everyone else in the world.

Nope! It was designed as a story-based single-player experience, and as a small team, we would rather spend our time creating new games that are designed to have multiplayer, instead of shoehorning it into a game that wasn’t meant to have it!

I am OK with this. I am loving the game and if they did try to make it multiplayer just because people asked and it sucked then that would take away from the game. It is a great game as it is now. I am having a lot of fun playing it.

Just played Star Trek Timelines and... Wow, I didn't expect much and it sure delivered exactly that.

Is it too much to ask for a half freemium bullshit, half FTL Startrek? Hell, will even accept a fully freemium bullshit experience that looks like it was made after 2009.

I might play it again after they patch some bugs out but ... probably not. That game is pretty terrible and it's almost hard to even call it a game

I came here to post something similar. Its amazing how well and awesome the cross-platform ability is.

I've found that I enjoy doing different things depending on which device I'm on. Farming and exploration? Tablet. Combat? Desktop.

I love how obtuse Timelines is. I have to build an item for wesley, and it shows me icons of what i need, and where to get them but doesn't tell me what its called. I got something that LOOKS like the item I need but when I go to craft it says I don't have it.

I'm willing to give them a little more time to iron out the issues, but i'm way more forgiving than you guys.

The Star Wars game I am pretty sure I've dropped after I maxed out all my characters and looked at how far I am away from getting anyone else.

With Crashlands do I have to purchase it for each different platform, or is there a way to buy one and unlock the others?

Also, again, seriously just a f2p Star Trek game based around, I dunno, going where no one has gone before. Just a silly auto battler/explorer with events based on episodes/movies. I want a 8/16 bit Nebula starship puttering around.

It's obtuse to someone who has played games their whole life and played a lot of freemium games in the past. I thought half the point of the freemium 'game-not-game' model was that it had a very low barrier to entry.

I must admit my patience is wearing thin with Timelines too. I'm stuck where I need medical and I have a medical dude(Phlox I think), and it says I can upgrade him (crew icon on main screen is highlighted), but when I go to build the item it says I don't have the parts. It's a known bug according to the forums, but it's been 2-3 weeks now.

That and grinding the 3 hour away missions, is a bit tedious. Picard needs his books and tea god drat it (but not any old book or cup of tea, it has to be a specific one!)

Look at that subtle off-white coloring.
The tasteful thickness of it.
Oh my god. It even has a watermark.
The list of locations of where to get the parts for x item in Timelines isn't even accurate. Morn had items that were supposedly only obtainable through transmissions, but I was able to obtain one doing a regular mission.

It will. Also try exploring further out. It may just be observational bias, but I find rarer materials further out. Quick crashlands question. I found the key to release a tendaarm from a cage, but I forgot where the guy is and he's not on my map. Anyone have any ideas?

It's some jars of stuff that Wesley needs to craft his science lesson. It says it can be only gotten by doing Augment or Section 31 shuttle missions, and i've gotten said jars, but nope, can't craft it.

Dabo wheel is back if anyone cares. All you need to do is watch a trailer for a free spin, which is good if you have wifi or unlimited data.

There's a lot of Something of Something games, and they all are certainly money grabs like Game of War. That Arnold one just screams premium units needed to progress.

EDIT: it looks like you can just keep doing it. I've done about 2 dozen spins so far and it hasn't run out of earnable spins.

Not sure if I should ask this in the Infinity Engine thread or here but here goes. How playable is the Baldur's Gate EE port on Android? Also, my tablet is "only" 8 inches because I find 10" a bit large, but I'm wondering if that could be a problem for that game.

I'm playing it on a Nexus 7 with a stylus and it's OK although a bit small. The highlight object button is really useful in that situation. The touch controls are good.

They did an amazing job with the port. Lots of extra content, a nearly perfect mobile UI, and the drat thing loads in half a breath. Neko Assume literally takes longer.

I'm still playing through it; the only downside I can think of is that it's still a bloody long game, the actual gameplay is still very nineties and it's easy to lose interest as the next shiny thing comes along
