You guys ready to hear a satanic song?
Props to whoever recommended Mechina a few pages back. So far they sound like if Fear Factory(the good years) developed a huge interest in symphony soundtracks and space exploration and wrote from there.

It's cheesy, cornball metal but I like it.

Anyone else buy the Best Buy version of Megadeth's new album? It came in this big long box that makes me feel like it's 1990 again.

I haven't tried the 3D glasses and the app it comes with yet.

I'll either be going to the Pittsburgh or Pontiac, MI show from Columbus, so depending on which one I go to I'll buy you or skroll a beer.

Gravewurm released a new album late (Dec 25th) last year, which I somehow completely missed.

It is mostly in the same style, but a bit slower than the earlier stuff. It is also the last thing Jim Sadist did in a studio before his stroke and eventual passing.

In related news, Cradle of Filth got their visas denied at the last minute and have so far canceled their US tour dates up to the 31st. How does this happen? These guys tour here like twice a year.

I'll be there. This is my first time seeing Anthrax and I kind of want to take an Uber so I can get bombed and really enjoy the show. Admittedly, I'm not really into Thrash but this show is on my brother-in-law's bucket list.

Also looking forward to BTBAM (my bucket list) / The Faceless (and August Burns Red for high school nostalgia), and Ghost this spring at the Wellmont in Montclair.

Opeth got me back into show-going spirits.

Abbey Pub to Reggie's. The Abbey was a weird place for a metal show but so much more convenient. Now I have to take an hour long trip home from work downtown on the CTA, then turn around and drive to Chinatown. Alternatively I could red line directly from work and get there early, but it's a loooooong trip home without my car.

I just saw Watain and Rotting Christ at Reggie's Durty Nellie's, my bad. Whoops. (To the venue's credit, they were cool with the crowd getting doused with buckets of pig's blood :black101:)
