Returning player question. Am I correct in saying that there is absolutely no way to get anything better than the T5 ship I got a year and a half ago without 1) spending $20-$30 (lol no) 2) grinding out 600k-900k dilithium (also lol no)

Winter's T6 carrier and Summer's T6 Ferengi cruiser are both decent, and we'll see about what they add next. Also, you can at least in the meantime upgrade your T5 ship to a T5U with an upgrade token. Also if you have enough EC you can buy a T6 fleet ship with fleet modules. The upgrade tokens are, at current dil>zen exchange, about 225k dil which I guess is not terrible, is it a significant enough upgrade to make it worth it? I have not a ton of EC but only because I never really bother, but is it still profitable to quest purple doffs/boffs and sell them on the exchange?
