What's the best shield killing primary weapon? I've been using a Deagle and Lebensauger for a long time, but with the weapon rebalance and Deagles becoming completely OP, I only pull out the sniper for Shields and I figure there might be a better weapon for the job if that's all I'm using it for. I made a Joceline with AP rounds and played around with it today and had a blast. Even more damage, much faster reload speed, not terrible accuracy with some skill adjustments, but I found it lacking in clip size and fire rate in the instance that I'm hit with a tazer: I fire off my two shots so quickly there's no chance I can turn to face the tazer in time. With the Lebensauger's slow fire rate and 10 clip I could find the tazer and clip him with a lucky shot and escape nearly every time. As a secondary consideration, even the Lebensauger failed to kill shields in one hit on deathwish (through the shield of course, I don't know how that affects damage dealt if at all), how much damage do I need to one hit a shield on DW? maybe I'll revert to using a sniper, just the R93 or the Nagant? surely the Thanatos is overkill for the job...

Why would you ever do this by choice. Even running something like Firestarter on Very Hard will probably get you to 100 faster. Edit: Though there's no reason not to run Firestarter on Overkill if you can get the goon hookup going.

Oh man, I have totally been grinding diamond store. I've been playing with my work buddies pretty much exclusively and have been having a fun time just shooting the poo poo and doing an awful job running stealth. We had a great failed run where I was being sneaky and hosed us over because I missed a guard with a shuriken and shattered some alarmed glass not a full minute after I said something smug about being the team ninja. These are the heists they don't show us in the cinematics. I'm well aware I know nothing and I'm wasting time and running poo poo loadouts, but I've been having too much fun to sweat it. Plus when I got on the Mumble last weekend there wasn't anybody around so I just ran with it. I'll get on again and look for folks this evening.  Yay video games. I'm glad I finally got into this one.

Before that the most cash was from Framing Frame Stealth, but now and with the whole rebalance, there is no reason to stealth anything anymore except if you want to not shoot cops or go for cheevos. Shame realy, cause I really like stealth in this game.

The Lebensauger/Repeater/Rattlesnake is something stupid like 1 point too low on damage to one-hit a Shield on DW. Any of the higher damage snipers will work. The Thanatos is overkill, but the BEST kind of overkill.

Well, more than that, grinding the same heist over and over reduces the amount of XP it gives you.  If you like stealth stuff, give Shadow Raid a try! It's a much, much better payout, and it's still totally chill, and you get a funky little beat going while you sneak around. But also, Loud stuff is super fun and if your group is in the 80s and 90s nobody has to break enough of a sweat that they can't just keep idly chatting while cutting down scores of cops. Payday 2 in general is just really chill, outside of Deathwish and specific cheevo runs.
