I hadn't really thought of it since it was a thing I did by accident but what the hell I'll come up with some ~formal rules~ Bronze challenge: Complete an advanced or elite STF without a shield. Silver challenge: Complete an advanced or elite STF without a shield and without dying. Gold challenge: Complete an advanced or elite STF shield without a shield, without dying, and no one on the team has a shield either.

MVP Challenge: Do hive sans shielding and ensure the Queen is killed via warp core breach. This exists because Troika's challenges are not challenging.

Lol at this thread where a pubbie demands action against Gorn jokes in ESD zone chat.angry pubbie posted:International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR). Article 19 of the ICCPR states that "everyone shall have the right to hold opinions without interference" and "everyone shall have the right to freedom of expression; this right shall include freedom to seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of his choice". Article 19 additionally states that the exercise of these rights carries "special duties and responsibilities" and may "therefore be subject to certain restrictions" when necessary "for respect of the rights or reputation of others" Quoting the ICCPR because he doesn't like Gorn jokes on his screen. link: http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline/#/discussion/1211260/gorn-spam/p4

Haha gently caress, Cryptic are discontinuing the Mac client. It was never good but when it worked it was a reasonable way to doff with Twitter open. Back to the WINE solution I guess, or just boot camp.

Wasn't there unofficial one that just wrapped the client in an application? Was that the WINE one? I'd be surprised if their solution wasn't just some sort of emulation wrapper.

Some how one of my characters has their starship trapped in a bizarre limbo where it can't be readied (or dry docked). Any ideas? I tried commissioning and decommissioning a new ship. EDIT: I was able to dismiss it. I'm getting a "C-Store is disabled" message, but if that clears up I'll try to buy it back. wdarkk fucked around with this message at 01:03 on Feb 5, 2016 |

So I've returned and dumped a bunch of my Dil into Zen, which I used to purchase the Jupiter Carrier. Nobody has made a build for this thing on the Wiki yet. Are the Gold Plasma Proc consoles stacked with Anti Proton beams still best in slot for DPS? Also, are using Tac +Beam Consoles from the fleet vendor still the way to go?

Asimo posted:Yeah, pretty much. Nothing's beat AP beams yet and the embassy/spire consoles are still (usually) best in slot for their respective slots. There's nothing really fancy to do there, load it up with science fuckery, put the universal seat in tac so you have enough powers to work with there, and go to town. I've also found the ship extremely squishy compared to my old Tholian Recluse, here's what I've slotted for BoFF Skills: Tac Slot 1: Tac Team & FAW2 Tac Slot 2: Tac Team & APB Eng Slot 1: EPtS, Eng Team2, and EPtWIII Science 1: Small Hull Heal, Extend Shields, Tykons Rift, and Gravity Well Science 2 : I have no loving clue what to put here. Use GW3 to rip a hole in the universe then fire AOE Intel powers into it.

acidblue posted:Jupiter Carrier. Nobody has made a build for this thing on the Wiki yet There's only ever like 2-3 builds active in STO at a time, if you can recognize the handful of powers that make it work on one ship you can apply it to any other. Or at least be able to identify which ships are "bad" because they don't let you run the build. Right now the available builds are "the one that shoots" and "the one that shoots a little less, but also throws science." I thought someone put a sci build up on the wiki the last time I offered bounties for articles?
