He didn't just buff the enemy though, he made some actual adjustments. Like, made grenades do 1-5 damage, as opposed to the normal 3-4. Less reliable, but can be better. Flash grenades have a bigger aim penalty, and the like.

Also, a good Beagle idea to make Mimic Beacons less ridiculous: Makes their duration basically infinite, but gives them only 1 health, so the first attack destroys them (meaning, the enemy notices it's a hologram after the first attack). They are only good for one shot, but you can set them up in advance.

I just used an Australian VPN to unlock the game early, spent an hour unpacking it, and when it finished unpacking I got an error about the Steam network being too busy to handle my request. I tried launching the game again and now I have a "Completing installation..." window that's stuck at 1% I wish I wasn't playing real life on Ironman. e: The "Play" button was replaced with a "Pre-Load" button in Steam

I am about to start. As a player of Xcom since the original launched, should I be playing on commander or veteran? I don't want to do legendary on my first play through. I am not playing Ironman. I tried max difficulty and ironman for the last xcom on my first play through and it was torturous with the free move aliens get.

Is there a list that exposes all the skills in the soldiers skill tree? Having these hidden so you can't plan is a really stupid design decision that i'm kinda surprised is still in the game after LW.

How bad are the missions in terms of rushing you? I was fine with the occasional bomb ones in EU/EW, but if its every mission, that seems kinda annoying. Sometimes I just like to set it up so the bad guys run into a huge arc of fire that I created.

I asked this earlier but maybe it might be seen now. I preordered this through Steam but found out about the GMG voucher and wanted to cancel. 24 hours later they still haven't contacted me. This is my first time using the Steam refund feature, does it usually take this long for them to authorize a refund? I don't want to wake up tomorrow with them not having responded and have to decide to just buy the GMG one before work and before the voucher expires or not.

My guess is they'd like you to learn how to play the game first before you start throwing people into the meatgrinder. Could be worse; they could've disabled it entirely until you've completed the game once, ala the Second Wave stuff from 1.
