Two times is acceptable, but the third and especially the fourth times were simply embarrassing. This is the sort of gaffe that can stick with you. That it occurred in the first 10 minutes of the debate is especially bad.

On a fourth watch I still have no idea what was going through his mind. Does he just simply not have any social ability? Can he not answer a question without going through the lines his handlers told him? What the hell is going on? He knew Christie was going to go after him, much like he knew Jeb was, and he completely fumbled.
