I will probably buy that PS4 Mahjong game off the Japanese PSN because there are no stand alone mahjong games in English on the PSN.

I would play mahjong on a PS4. I tried learning it on a PC in a browser thing with other players but it's a hard website to navigate and a difficult game to learn.

That said, I definitely recommend the PS4 one. It's easy enough to get around the menus, and worse case there's a good TL guide up on gamefaqs for it. Mahjong (not the matching game) confuses the hell out of me especially with scoring. It doesn't help that anytime I have ever played it, it's been in Japanese. Not sure if I would have the patience to try it these days.

Basically in Japanese Mahjong (the only kind worth playing) you're trying to get 4 3-of-a-kinds/3 tile straights, and one pair to complete a hand. Different hands have different point values. There are also some rules about throwing tiles away and which tiles you can/can't win off of. That's glossing over a lot of the finer points, but it's enough to get started with. It's a really fun game, especially playing it in-person.

Why are the PS+ games always so poo poo on PS4? Every month its the same thing - A faux retro Contra clone, a lovely game where you fly around in 2d and a somehow less-fun rip-off of Terraria.

Does Broforce seriously have no music at all? I know games have been moving away from catchy tunes and towards ambience, but come on. Some chiptune loops coulda at least been a redeeming feature.

Chrissakes, if it wasn't for PS Plus we'd still be paying our $50 a year for multiplayer, a paywall, and nothing else and be happy for it. We may not get old Assassin's Creed games every month, but we do get a couple of indie games. Some of them you might like, and some you won't. It's a whole lot better than the nothing I got for my years of Xbox Gold on Xbox 360. Just so sick of the endless whining. That said, this months batch are kinda fun for me. Galak-Z gets pretty tough pretty quick, but it's the best Battlestar Galactica game I've ever played.
