You should never press crMK at the Rookie level without tacking on the fireball motion afterwards.

Try it in training mode. Set the dummy to guard after the first attack and practice crMK into fireball. If you do it correctly it should be a two hit combo. If you do it incorrectly the dummy will block the fireball. You can find a lot of online Youtube resources to help you with the execution side of things if you have any trouble.

I'm watching Winter Brawl X and seeing Cammy repeatedly getting her poo poo kicked in so a part of me is starting to feel like dropping her and just playing Nash or Bison. Like, Bison's everything is at advantage on block and that's just nuts. I'm starting to loose faith in the Killer Bee. I wish she had an overhead and her old st.RH from previous games. Her new RH is really weird and I can only really seem to use it to get crush counters from whiffed DPs and sometimes jump ins but it's really risky to use an an anti-air. Her sweep also works as a crush counter but what good is that because you're not gonna be able to combo after it.

Playing my friend who is superior at fighting games has been frustrating. I'm Vega and he's Karin. Once I get put into the corner I get destroyed when I can play footsies I do a lot better. What's the best way to improve my anti airs? Just a lot of matches? I'm not reacting to any at all.

just hit it, beat yourself up for not hitting it, and keep doing this until you hit it without thinking, then people starting baiting your antiairs with divekicks so you start thinking about it again and maybe fighting games are dumb this is a universal fg thing

Im really digging this game. I didn't like sf4 when I first played it and could never get into it, but this one feels exciting and fresh again. I used to play 3rd strike like a fanatic. i still have yet to try karin, chun li, dhalsim, vega, birdie and bison... i do find it a little weird getting locked into a character before every online match; it makes switching guys up a little bit of a chore. im a little worried about new char pricing. I feel I'm playing this a lot - if I find out I can't afford the new characters I'm worried I'll burn out, since the season pass is pricey, as well as the idea I want to get a joystick too. Did they say how they're pricing new characters and what is the currency in game? Wondering how much I have.

Completing story mode with every character is 160k, then easy survival is another 160k, and then normal survival is yet another 160k Sure, normal survival is a bit more tedious, but the game gives us 480k of points, which is nearly 5 characters, for free

I'm in eager anticipation to see what Alex, Guile and Balrog are like. Then I can take a nap for when Ibuki and Juri come out and get hype for Urien. I'm willing to bet that Akuma, Sagat and Sakura will be in Season 2. And the other 3 will probably be out of the blue obscure characters. I'm hoping for Q, Rolento, Sodom, Dee Jay or Mike Motherfucking Haggar.
