Trump doubling down on how erotic he felt the Chinese display of power was at Tiennamen Square and saying he's firm in his belief that over a billion people are active militants against the US who should all be tortured to death was pretty interesting IMHO

Trump has nowhere to go in the GE because (as was hammered home in 2012) the extremes you need to go to win the GOP nomination makes you completely unelectable in the general against a ham sandwich. Trump in his natural mode of operation went 10 times further than necessary. His extremely high exposure is his own worst enemy, hard to reinvent yourself to people who hate you. The GOP needs latinos and african americans to win, Trump isn't winning those demos in 1000 years.

Focus on the economic aspect of illegal immigration, call for a temporary ban on all people coming from countries with a significant ISIS presence, and call out the white supremacists showing up at rallies. If he did that, he would have had the big tent needed to win a general election. Instead he found a way to get the Republican donor class on the same side as minorities, and foreign policy hawks seeing a party with a socialist running for presidents as a lesser evil.

I enjoy that you've adopted the concept that a ham sandwich painted blue could garner the votes of the loyal/captive Democratic base. Its the Independents that a candidate actually needs to appeal to in order to win.

But to humor you dems DO make up a majority in swing states which is why it's an incredibly huge up hill battle for the GOP in the general and thats assuming your working with someone like Trump who hasn't already alienated literally every other critical demo.
