She won one big tournament in France, in the finals in another. I think it's unlikely that she is "terrible" but doesn't seem high tier. Not a lot of Americans playing her either tho

The dudes on Daigo's stream have been talking about how good SFV is and are saying it's better than IV. But they also seem worried about the game's health without arcades.

Her anti air special trades if she does it too late. crMK might be cancellable, but only into one comboable special or VSkill. Its a pretty stubbly crMK. Her VT dash all are counter hittable, making it a decent risk for both parties. The LP bolt charge is her only safe move, mostly she either hits you or blocks afterwards. When you block it its a guessing game for her. Does she block the normal or get thrown. Lauras want to get in. Keep her out. AA her with normals or your preferred special Throw fireballs all day if she doesn't have EX bar When she does most lauras can only react to the second fireball, so keep your fireball sparce and just block the ex bolt charge and free combo time. If you do knock her down she has no reversals so meaties and jump in. Most of the cast has further reaching normals than her, its why her vskill is a dash to get in. Use them to keep her out. 3f jabs pretty much stop most of her pressure unless the Laura is looking to frame trap. Her specials that are avoided/blocked except one are punishable Laura also has a big deadzone on her AA normals she cant stop crossups other than block, she doesnt have a RYU jab hurtbox. Unless she uses her AA special early in your crossup attempt she has to block or eats a crossup combo. Her actual only safe thing to do is dash under. Her resets all have tell tale signs on which side you end up. Most of the time I win with Laura is when people go on auto pilot, people have routines and I pick them up and just counter. Yes she can be a monster when she gets in. Shes like Makoto. Wants you on the floor waiting for you to make a 33% guess. Her back throw is possibly one of the best in the game, and she wants to use it. Once she opens you up she will test your decision making skills and will make you pay dearly for a wrong decision. One or two wrong decisions and she will stun you.
