I wish weapon skins were like clothing items and didn't take up inventory slots. I'd like to buy them each day, just in case they go with some future outfit, but I'm worried that they'll fill up my inventory in no time. Especially as you need one for each weapon.

How are you guys managing skins?

Sticking them in my stash, can't really do much else with them. If worst comes to worst and I need space, I'll just make a mule. (Will this work? I hope so)

But honestly, Ubi should just make them take up zero space. They're cosmetics, for crying out loud.

They don't take up slots while equipped to something, so just slap them on something or else put them in your stash.

When you get all the tech upgrades you get 10 bonus stash space which helps, and yes you can indeed make mules, but yeah its dumb they don't work the way the other cosmetics do.

They really wanted skins to be part of the attachments UI and they couldn't figure out how to finagle that with the appearance system in time, I guess.

I can see them needing to implement DZ by gear score at some point rather than just levels. I've hit 70k damage today and ran into a few guys who I couldn't dent at all, chatting to them after they're all fully yellow'd out.

I ran into a guy who I head shot with a High End marksman rifle in the DZ and it hit him for 911 damage. Didn't even break a thousand. poo poo was crazy.

I also ran into a guy who one shot my whole squad with an AR, so I guess it works out for everybody. :v:

One of the loading screen tips will tell you that ARM is armour, and you can see your damage reduction when you're looking at your stats page.

So, opinions: High-End Vector bp or the Libertardor? I'm thinking vector so I can roll different stats, but...SMG.

E: And welp, don't waste money. HE Vector pulls horizontally like poo poo and is near impossible to keep on a decently-close target. One less blueprint to buy for the future, though.

High-End Vector by a country mile (I have both)

SMGs have ridiculous crit bonuses. They have short range, but they're very accurate. Roll a large +mag size/+rate of fire magazine, and +crit chance/damage on all the other mods if you can.

It takes like 20 rounds to the body to kill a purple enemy with full armor using my Vector, the Liberator would take a whole mag and I'd miss a ton.

HA, welp, tastes differ, etc. The way I have a lightweight m4 or a LVOA built, they're pretty much lasers with 60-round mags, and I can put 55 of those rounds on a target in the open out to a pretty drat good range easily. Maybe libtard is actually worse than standard LV's?

I suppose it depends on your play-style, but on paper and in practice the Vector can put out more DPS than the Liberator. Plus, you can craft multiple Vectors to get the weapon talents you like (I'm pretty sure the named HE weapons have locked Talents)

30%+ crit chance, 225% of base damage per crit, dead accurate up close. My Liberator has 5% crit chance with mods on it, and less crit damage than a headshot.

This is one of the main reasons why this game is getting shelved for the foreseeable future. The phoenix credit bug gave a bunch of people top tier yellow gear, then they nerfed it, and now the DZ is filled with unstoppable uber gods who can kill you instantly and not be killed. Really ruined the whole thing for me. That coupled with the daily missions being horrible grindfests.

I'm really disappointed because I was looking forward to this game for so long.

Yeah I also generally prefer ARs to SMGs overall since I also have a LVOA that is just a laser and I just dump a bunch of rounds into someone's head on the other side of the arena. Also SMGs are pretty eh if you don't have a bunch of +crit chance/damage mods/gear to take advantage of em since the base crit chance is usually around 19-20% and the damage like 25-27%, as well as having a lower headshot multiplier than ARs and a shorter range.

I can't seem to make LMG's work for me. Sub-par damage combined with crazy recoil makes it impossible for me to focus fire. SMG's seem to do a better job of that. Heck, SMG's in general seem almost op at times. I've never ran into a situation where an SMG let me down. It's so versatile.

Yup. Cause other people will have caught up to yellows anyways, so you'll have twice the whining to do!

I think the problem with the game is that it's hilariously easy PVE until you hit 30. Everything is soloable if you pay even a little attention, and having a good build/gear doesn't matter in the least. Then you hit 30 and hey guess what, turns out Challenge mode and the DZ are pretty loving unforgiving of that poo poo.

Speaking of, had a ton of fun in the embassy challenge today. 3 non-braindead squadmates, good CC, and we moved like loving pros. Pull, fall back to drop the rushers, advance and clear, fall back for the next rushers, advance 2+2 so one side always has a back to shoot at. poo poo ruled. Those 5 seconds between falling back to position and the enemies showing up in the kill zone are tense.

I was in love with SMGs until I discovered max-accuracy/high-ROF ARs, which are basically the lightweight M4 and the LVOA. My build ends up with around 1050 RPM and 14K heaqdshots/21K hs-crits, which is ridiculous.

It's funny in the DZ, as well-someone tried to snipe me, so I turned around and put a 5-round burst in their dome from 3/4 down the block. Eagerly waiting for the OMG CHEATERS video to surface :v: Those ARs basically have no downsides.

Did Challenge mode Russian Consulate tonight. Worst rooms were the one with 4 tanks and 2 entrances (2nd to last pull I think?) and I guess the last one due to shotgunners. We three-manned the thing til those last 2 rooms though, which was fun/tense.

Yes, I would like a 15 shot sniper rifle that does 10K+ damage per shot at level 12-13 and can be fired like a semi-automatic assault rifle for up close combat.

I don't even need to group in the DZ any more. I just waltz into the subway, slaughter all the enemies, and walk out with ridiculous amounts of loot. If anything is stupid enough to attack me two shots brings it down, player or otherwise.

LMG's aren't really a DPS weapon but a support weapon in this game. Obviously you can kill poo poo with them, but they're best for suppression fire. Being able to force bad guys to keep their heads down is really great in group scenarios where you can't outright kill them quickly but still need a way to try and take them out of the fight so the guys you're grouped up with don't get popped.

If people are knocking you from full health to dead instantaneously with no downed state they're probably hacking, there are a lot of players running around using memory editing to give themselves an insane RoF and infinite ammo, I'm not gonna bother with the darkzone grind for a bit until I see if Massively is invested in banning them
