Even with 70k+ hp those challenge mode rushers are ridiculous. Without any cc they will absolutely demolish a squad.

Does the flashbang grenade launcher and gas grenade seeker mine get any real benefit from skill power, like longer CC or anything?

Yes You're actually doing it right by dying, you basically shoot the king only and leave his minions alone. If the minions die he never comes back. If you got a Caduceus out of it you basically don't need to do it anymore unless you need quick and easy phoenix credits. And even then it's probably better to run LEC challenge instead for the extra yellow gear that might come with kickass talents.

Smart cover reduces all incoming damage. The only time you're in trouble is if you get set on fire/shocked/stunned out of cover. People are using it cuz it currently stacks. I'm about 30% through finishing the story + side missions, and should I be making a point to visit the dark zone before I hit 30 and upgrade everything? I've only been using it when I run out of side missions and need an XP injection, but I'd hate to permanently miss out on anything I can't get once I cap out.

 That armour in cover perk is kind of strong. (Don't mind my garbage secondary weapon DPS, it's a poopy yellow LMG for suppression that also does 17% armour break)

My partner and I both have ~180k dps, he has ~60k HP and I have ~50k. Even with two poo poo random teammates we can easily kill rushers long before he can get on top of us. We only even need CC in pulls that have 3+ shotgunners. We both achieved that DPS when we were at like 30k HP, and while dicey I think its a whole lot faster to be able to down them in <1 mag and be fragile then to attempt to be tougher and risk having to reload while fighting them. You'd probably need like 100k HP before you could survive more than 3 or so shots from one anyway.

Thanks to Mcbexxx, MingeT and Sandweed for tonight's PC group. Many scarves were extracted and subways investigated. Plus I did my first ever challenging mission  One cool DZ experience. While levelling you find an echo where a rogue first wave agent finds some rykers hanging a JTF guy. He kills the rykers but, rather than cutting down the JTF member, he watches him die. While in the DZ tonight I got separated from the others and came across a pubbie bleeding out in the street. I probably could have saved him but I just killed the nearby rykers and then just left the pubbie agent to expire. For a loot-y shoot-y game, this sure has some cool moments.

Bullet King, unlike most Rikers, did nothing wrong. I'm going to miss him. Joe Ferro and Bullet King could get Manhattan back on its feet.

Broke 100k DPS with the High End Vector tonight, and managed to light both talents (% of crit damage back as health, and 13% increased damage within 10m, on top of the native 13% bonus against Elites.) I think the thing with farming to 50 at 29 is that you can do it in a very safe controlled environment where you are guaranteed to be the biggest fish in the pond. Where as going in at DZ30 you have people that may have really poop socked this game that are running all high end gear that will be unkillable and kill you very quickly, negating any gains, along with the enemies being in general more difficult to kill. The upside to getting to 30 is you can start grinding birdcoins & daily & getting level 30 drops. The upside to 29 is you can freely pvp / hunt rogues for DZ EXP, be a beast, and gently caress around. I spent a few days at 14 & 19 doing DZ rogue & sheriff work and it was really fun. Much more fun than DZ30 where I once got ganked by a group of people with hi end gear that I couldnt even damage with an 80k dps gun. Its a lot easier to get up to par at the lower levels than at 30 where you're grinding & craftin.
