I think Alex's v skill is cool but other than that I don't really have much interest in playing him. I'm interested in seeing how he shakes up the "meta" (sorry) though.

It's not so much me liking Chun as it is Chun being the only character that kinda sorta fits my playstyle. I like Karin better, to be honest. And I lied, I kinda get why people liked Alex in 3S, but I really would rather see everyone else in that DLC list make it in before Alex because his basic gameplan is already there on other characters. Meanwhile we could really use a Guile, Urien or even Juri.

I doubt they are withholding info about this character people have been wanting for a while unlike Fang who is an entirely new character, but I could be wrong.

He was also the final character, and the fact that he was new made me want to know more, whereas the Alex one I took as either those being his only specials (sans his command normals) or just giving a sampling considering he's already an established character. I dig the sax in his 4 theme but I think the build up and the high point in his 5 theme beats the entire rest of 4's theme. I refuse to budge on this point and will become bitter as gently caress about this minor nothing.

I honestly thought SF4's music sucked a lot with a couple exceptions. Solar eclipse was cool. I'd say 5 has about a 50% success rate.

It's kinda ambiguous, but you're probably right. The clothesline itself is one of them "sick reads bro" moves - one hit of armor, chargeable, breaks guard at full charge. I'll assume it'll waste half his V-Trigger meter if it's an install move.

I get the impression it's closer to Vega than Karin (or at least Mika, considering Karin gets an entirely new set of moves in V-Trigger), or maybe even Zangief's (considering it's a move but can be charged).

The way the description phrases it is it's like Vega's where it's one attack. If it's an install I can see it being kinda better but it sounds like its utility mostly comes from being charged which makes it kinda ehhhh
