If they don't fix the myriad of problems with online then I don't know what fighting game to play. Pretty much everything is borderline dead where you have to trawl IRC / Discord / Friend Lists to get any matches at all. It's a shame Xrd is so low population now because I can't even be bothered to improve in it when hardly anyone in EU plays it any more.

Like you see how many people here bitch about how bad sf5 is yet only play sf5 now. And for some reason people don't seem to play multiple games often. Hell during the week blaze blue has like 10 people playing. (and when they are all variations of lovely ragnas, jins and terumis, it's more like 1 person playing on 10 accounts)

This event just keeps getting more amazing as you watch, holy poo poo That TV. How many frames of lag you reckon it adds? "I cant take my eyes off this match" *camera is currently showing some ladies face* Commentator leans on player's chair and talks right next to his ear about a coupon code or something stupid. Oh cool now theyre commenting entirely on what controllers the players in the room are using instead of, ya know, talking about or even SHOWING the game itself. I would read a novel about this event, holy poo poo Gutcruncher fucked around with this message at 21:01 on Mar 27, 2016 |

People in my local scene keep trying to tell me that Mika is just the new El Fuerte. I really don't get this comparison. They don't really have any of the same tools, except for the anti air grab, Mikas mobility is terrible compared to Fuerte, she has grounded command grabs, actual hit confirms... She reminds me of Abel more than Fuerte, with St. HK being comparable to step kick. (But not as good)

(But not as good) Rashid is El Fuerte in the sense of the speed and constant attacks I would say Laura is more Makoto + Abel Mika borrows moves from El Fuerte but plays vastly differently. Shes more of a "Wait till I catch you, Ill make you hurt" character

StabMasterArson posted:i hope challenge modes has something where I can learn how to fight the other characters, right now is an absolute crapshoot and obviously not made for beginners at all This is how you learn to fight other characters: Learn their moves like you did with your main character, then learn which of those moves are punishable. Have a dummy randomly attack with safe and unsafe moves, punish when appropriate. After that watch some replays of the matchup to see how you should be approaching the fight (getting in, staying out, etc). Not sure what you're waiting for Capcom to release to teach you that.

challenges are a great opportunity to learn what characters can do for new players that don't know how to lab it all out.

Challenege mode is most often impractical combos in anime games in sf4, it was usually link training for dummies (for me try it a few times get pissed and go back to fighting people to learn) and in vipers case all the sjc tricks you could do. teaches jack poo poo in terms of when to use stuff. I just expect some crush counter combos you've seen in the videos people have posted up, but in challenge mode instead. It's being patched in so don't expect too much. dangerdoom volvo posted:You learn that by fighting the other characters, not a challenge mode Is the truth. Don't be afraid of losing. It really doesn't mean poo poo. Even if you win and can't tell why you won you probably were winning with something the other person couldn't deal with without identifying it though it'd have been better for you to lose and realize why you lost, because in the former case you'll just lose against better people then blame poo poo like lag instead of you just not understanding whats going on. What are Karin's mixup options? I've got my BnB down and have some general theory as how to play her, but I want to keep my pressure up and start opening people up after they block my BnB a few times. I've used throws and walk up throws to help add pressure, but I feel like I'm still lacking.

I don't play Karin but this is how I figure this out with my character: Go to the top ranked players, find the top Karin player, download 10 matches. Watch them with input mode on. Wait for Karin to start doing mixups and frame traps. Pause and rewind as necessary, write down what the player does. Do the same thing but with a different Karin player. See how different players keep up pressure, try some of the methods yourself, see what works for you. Hopefully someone who plays her can tell you something specific but that's my advice for teaching yourself.

Can we get juri with suprise poison in the same month? I'd like that. Also juri should have been first because of how phoned in all her stuff will be. Vskill- the counter teleport V trigger- Feng Shui Engine Super- Ultra 2 from sf4 V Reversal- Same as her Focus attack
