If you caught it on streaming and binged through it, it's slow but not horrid since you compress all that waiting for something to happen.

I watched it on Netflix, and the lack of waiting a week between episodes did not cover for the fact that nothing of real consequence happened for about 40 minutes of every episode. The bit with the well is the perfect summation of what I hated about it.

Oh I understand, and actually I take that back, his first comic/graphic novel was Buddha by Osamu Tezuka. Still I was raised on horror movies, and so was my kids. I am embarrassed to say how young he was (elementary school age and my wife wasn't happy) when we watched Evil Dead 2 together for the first time. Luckily he thought it was funny too. He is in high school now, and despite all my failings he has turned out to be a well adjusted kid.

Yep. That is a perfect example of True Blood at it's best. That scene alone made the whole show worth it.

Deadwood is one of my favorite shows. Amongst other reasons I think it got a bit unwieldy and the show runners were not sure where to take it next. The cast was incredible.

Denis O'Hare is loving awesome and was really good on this past season of AHS (which imo was the best season since Asylum). I think his role on True Blood really helped him show his chops, and that clip of Russell on the news is a perfect representation of that show (also maybe a couple of the orgies from S2, because like HUNDU said it's truly an unabashed fun sex show).

To be fair, that's probably not as weird as it sounds. As an example, I watch a lot of lovely horror movies that rarely even merit 3 stars, but netflix correctly continues to recommend them to me, despite 'hating' them.

I've been on Netflix since 2001 and have rated thousands upon thousands of movies and the only film that says I'll award it a full five stars is that One Direction documentary directed by Morgan Spurlock.

Everything else across the board is pretty much a Leonard Maltin-esque two-and-a-half stars according to Netflix.
