Like my previous requests, my hints were completely off, but this case is especially bad because I've listened to the unknown song a shitload.

I don't know enough to tell you what the language is but it sounds like a cover of The Laughing Song by Whoopee John Wilfahrt. Which itself seems to be based on The Laughing Policeman by Charles "Jolly" Penrose, which borrows heavily from The Laughing Song by George W Johnson.

I haven't yet, it is still a mystery. Thank you though, I did try those first but none were the one I am looking for. It would have likely been a fairly rare record, like B side sort of thing, so it didn't surprise me that it wasn't on wiki. I wish there were a 90s postrock wiki sort of thing with really detailed database for folk like you and me. Wish I could help you with yours, but it isn't ringing any bells.

OK, this is going to be a real pain in the rear end.

It's a jazzy-esque song, maybe electronic that has female vocals that I can't remember exactly, something along the lines of:

Ooh, can't take my eyes away
[something something] the day
Can't take my love away
Ooh, [something] you're the one

That's all I can remember. I've heard it before and I just heard it on TV for some bumper music of a UK soccer/football match.

This might be a long shot, but Little Mix - Nothing Feels Like You (or a remix)? It sounds like something that would be used to advertise a footie match, IMO.

I heard this song during an ad in a cinema in the uk yesterday. All I remember about the ad is that there's a break in the song with a slow motion shot of a woman in a hospital looking up at a baby she's holding above her, during a break in the song. It's rockand it's recent I think, it has a steady driving beat with a simple looping guitar riff and sounds kind of 60s ish. It's been in a few ads recently I'm sure. Obviously I am not referring to Jefferson Airplane in the Alice trailer but it sounds like it's from that era, but cleaner so maybe it's more recent like a tribute or a pastiche. Sorry, that's all probably pretty useless but I can't identify the ad and this is driving me crazy.

I just remembered, it has like a bit of throat singing in the background all trippy like.

There's a song I used to hear on Walmart Radio that had a woman singing and every other lyric was just "ohhhh" more of the melody and then another "ohhhh". One of the other lyrics was something about "holding my hand".

Country song, top 40 in the last 5 or so years, opens with a DEA raid. "He had a basement full of pot" at the end of the first verse is the line I remember. Thematically similar to Miranda Lambert's "Everybody dies famous in a small town". Can't find it with Google.

please help me! i'm trying to find this album by this avant-garde jazz band (or maybe it's afrobeat). it's a fairly dark jazz album that doesn't really sound much like what springs to mind when you think of jazz. it's very much these intense rhythms (that i remember as sorta having an afrobeat influence, but these are much more intense beats than typical afrobeat) and very moody songs that are really kind rhythmic soundscapes. there's kinda an anti-war theme with samples of either bush or obama talking about things like drone strikes in some of the songs. i think it's semi-recent, maybe 2012 or so? i'm really hoping someone knows what i'm talking about as i love that album but i just listened to it on streaming services and now i can't remember what it was called

That's kind of a weird thought isn't it?
Is finding the name of an artist who made a song kosher?

Years and years ago I watched VH1 Classic with my father and they were playing a blues concert. This dude played probably the best version of "Going Down"(The Freddy King song) I've ever heard. He was a pretty thin black dude wearing a really drat snazzy pimp suit and hat. The entire concert was really good but that version of "Going Down" stuck with me for years and I can't remember for the life of me who he was.

This is probably the worst, most unspecific request ever, but I remember hearing this song and I can't remember what it's called at all.

I think it's a French band, or at least they are singing/speaking in French. It's a pretty calm song, kind of a "mysterious" vibe maybe, I don't really know what genre to place it in. Maybe alternative rock? Throughout the song there is a guy with a deep-ish voice speaking/"sing-speaking" and a woman too. Very calmly. I think it's got kind of a "pulsing" beat to it.

I'll be baffled if anyone figures this out, but maybe it's worth a try :)

This might be too vague, but I'm looking for a song that most likely came out recently. probably the single from the album but not a hit or anything. The sound is pretty lo fi rock kind of poppy. The singer sings lower for the verse and in the chorus he sings with a higher pitch. The chorus just goes something like "do-do-do-dat-dat-dat-dat-dat-dat-dat-dat-dat-dat-dat-dat-dat-dat-da" The production has sort on under water vibe to it.

It's played quite a bit on the local NPR music station lately, so it's not something super obscure afaik.

The bit at the beginning is F.U.K.T - The Linkup, but that's probably not the part you're asking about. I dunno what the rest of the track is, although the guy at the end is still talking about F.U.K.T so maybe it's something else of theirs. Or if you can find a playlist for whatever set this was you can find out what came after the Linkup.

I had trouble making any lyrics and forgot those I did but I think the Chorus had a very long Ooooh and then a shorter ooooh and then some other lyrics which I couldn't catch. I know I am doing a terrible job describing this song and I apologize, but this song is stuck in my head now and I can't even sing along with it since I don't know the words.
