I'd kill for arms like those of Tom Hopper. But I'm afraid trying for them might kill me first, or at least make me break several tendons.

Going to the gym is pretty drat fun. I think a lot of hollywood dudes enjoy it Hugh Jackman is swole as gently caress and he loves going to the gym. I bet Mr.Forearms has been physically active his whole life and didn't just randomly start getting swole for a pirate show

Man watching this shortly after watching the Walking Dead finale is just so crazy. How can one show be so loving good at wrapping this up when one of the most popular shows on TV is so bad at it. How this show doesn't have better ratings than the walking dead is amazing. Pirates are infinitely more interesting than zombies.

If it was on basic cable its ratings would be better.

TWD is not nearly as good as this show, not by a long shot, but it's still way better than many network TV shows out there like Quantico (oh great, adults doing teeny relationship drama except going to the FBI academy while doing it) or The Vampire Diaries (even my wife stopped watching this show recently citing her reason as being that the show has gone over the top with stupid). I mean, lots of people like those shows I guess and I can't knock them for liking what they like, even if I give my wife poo poo for watching the Vampire Diaries, but there are way better shows out there to watch. The problem is, lots of people don't have premium channels and that's why they watch shows a lot of us might consider dumb, which gives them better ratings.

The Spartacus dudes had a special gladiator camp with a few hours of workouts each day and the results were pretty amazing. Actor Simon Merrells flunked out the basic fitness test at the beginning such as not being able to do a single pullup but got into great shape as a result of the show.

I skipped all of one and two and just watched three with my husband, and I loved it. I'll go back and watch the others at some point. I could ask him questions if I was confused (not often) and I did catch some of 2 when he watched it. It's a great show, and I love the idea of the characters from Treasure Island being stuck with historical pirates and everything that happens because of that.

I'm binging this right now - can't believe this was off my radar for so long. I didn't know how badly I wanted a pirate TV show until I was already a season and a half deep. I really love the whole Treasure Island prequel aspect intermingling with the historical aspects and the production and locations are all great. Where is this filmed? I realise all the ship battles are greenscreen but they are great and I need more of them. But I mainly came into the thread to say that I just watched 2x05 and holy loving poo poo a knife has been plunged into my heart. "James, my truest love."
