I am incredibly surprised no one has thought of Cory Booker as Clinton's VP.

Hasn't it been said his Wall Street ties are even more problematic than Hillary's? Plus why double up on the New England area? If it isn't a southern Latino or black I'll be surprised.

Looks like we got some good news regarding Wisconsin's lovely voter ID law:

quote:

The 7th Circuit Court ruled unanimously on Tuesday evening for the ACLU, sending the case back to U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman in Milwaukee for further consideration. The court agreed with the plaintiffs that it is "impossible" for some people -- especially the poor -- to acquire the kind of ID they need to vote, and said that allowing them to sign an affadavit instead would be a good "safety net." The state of Wisconsin is expected to appeal the ruling.

So what's the state's, sure to be amazing, argument against the affidavit? Surely if they are as committed to both making sure everyone's vote is counted as they say while making sure there is no fraud there would be no problem with those since they would be under more scrutiny than the average voter.

It's really baffling to a lot of people who know her and her record why she endorsed Bernie besides as a political tool.

Um, but she's a a hot lady that's a veteran and supports Bernie!

No matter she's basically a blue dog in most matters and really really hates Muslims. Also loves India and Modi especially for some reason?

I read an article about her support for BJP and other douchebags and couldn't figure out why she was such a story. Then I saw her picture on a surfboard and hubba hubba what a foxy xenophobe

It's too bad we can never know the man's true motivations...

quote:

Colorado clinic shooter hoped fetuses would thank him for stopping abortions

Dear also told police that he was upset with Planned Parenthood for performing abortions and “the selling of body parts,” according to the documents.

He said he admired Paul Hill, an anti-abortion extremist who was executed in Florida in 2003 for the murder of an abortion provider in 1994, police said.

A wounded victim told police that Dear approached her in the clinic parking lot and opened fire after saying that she “shouldn’t have come here today," the documents said.

Dear ambushed several responding police officers, and was wearing a homemade ballistic vest comprised of silver coins and duct tape, police said.

In outbursts at earlier hearings and in media interviews, Dear called himself “a warrior for the babies,” claiming he was guilty and that there would be no trial. He also said he wanted to fire his court-appointed lawyers and defend himself.

I'm not 100% sure we wouldn't get a Republican senator from New Jersey filling his spot.

Christie and crew weren't able to get a Republican permanent senator through when Lautenberg died, and that was with Christie and the state Republicans still having a glow about them after cooperating with Obama during Hurricane Sandy and the aftermath. Booker won 55 to 44 against the Republican they put up in that special election.

Now keep in mind that Christie and the NJ republicans are slobbering on Trump's dick these days, and that's a major issue for them winning another special election for the senate seat. And there hasn't been an elected Republican senator from New Jersey since 1979 - there have been two Republican appointed senators serving under a year each as a result of a Senator dying or resigning since then.
