In this documentary, we will reveal that all of De Palma's movies are the things he keeps seeing whenever he peeks out his window (said window faces a brick wall).

Officially licensed Lamborghini Spider Buggy coming soon exclusive to Toys'R'Us.

I still can't believe that there were official Lamborghini and Bugatti toys that transform into space robots sold to children recently, thanks to Transformers 4.

It's like that on purpose. Watch it as a commentary on what Michael Bay has done with the Transformers and Ninja Turtles IPs on the big screen.

No. It's giving people exactly what they want, gritty CONSEQUENCES FOR REAL garbage, and showing it's loving awful. And it worked 100% because there is a Wikipedia article for it discussing how much it was praised.

I was paraphrasing/summarizing what I read from the hitfix exclusive I had bookmarked.

quote:

This is a fan film, and as such, it's amazing, because it is not an act of devotion to a property. Instead, it's a lacerating straight-faced comment on where we are with these movies. It's not just the "dark and gritty" approach, it's the use of a property that was little more than a cynical merchandising trick the first time around.

article here if anyone cares to read it: http://www.hitfix.com/motion-captured/world-exclusive-what-are-katee-sackhoff-and-james-van-der-beek-doing-in-joseph-kahns-powerrangers

Those movies are only reflecting what was already in the franchise for years. Transformers had a movie that messed up many children because it killed all their beloved characters in the first 30 minutes. Yes, it's the 1986 one. Just be glad they don't have Optimus getting power by kissing a little girl.

Marvel has to sign off on that stuff in some way, and they don't anymore. There were toys for some of the earlier pre-MCU movies. They also allowed Wolverine figures for several of the movies from Hot Toys, a high end Japanese figure company. And recently allowed a Deadpool figure for that movie. That's about it though.

Really? Using the opening song from Guardians? I mean I know they don't exactly own the song, but when it comes to comic book movies, it's basically theirs now.
