It's a little bit juvenile, but it's simple and it's timeless.

We let it be known that Schnorkles, for a snack, eats tiny pieces of shit.

You're picturing it and you're talking about it. That's a win in my book.

TBH he's totally right with this one, as Hillary won every county in NY except for one in 2008 - the difference that he fails to mention is that she was behind in delegates at that time, not ahead like she is now.

hahaha yeahhhh, that's what i was thinking when i read that. is it just me, or are some people really loving bad at math?

Hillary outperformed the polls when spending half of what Bernie spent, and an insane level of grassroots campaigning from people coming from out of state, phonebanking etc...

Sanders is currently losing Rochester and Syracuse, and only a little ahead in Buffalo.

This is really not his night.

Be honest with yourself Hillary trolls. Hillary won't win a general because DWS can't rig the DNC nomination at that point. Hillary and the DNC are cheating and disenfranchising voters. 120K people who were democrats in Brooklyn, somehow became unaffiliated/independent and couldn't vote today. In every online poll done, Bernie wins it 90-95% with Hillary struggling to capture 10% in these polls. Bernie won Times poll of man of the year. Hillary is not favorable, everyone hates her. Recent poll had her at a 58% unfavorable rating. She will not win a general election, come to our side, be realistic with yourself.

4th. i was a dean supporter in 04, then kerry then obama and now clinton.

i think mark penn not knowning how delegates work was more of a hindrence than money. at this point the race was effectively over and she and obama were just going through the motions. bernie legitimately just tried to win ny and got his face ripped off.

so no i don't think their apt comparisons.

No way Bernie drops out after this, remember that polls just last month were showing Clinton with a +40 lead. At most the narrative changes to say that he has lost momentum, but I'm 100% sure Bernie won't drop out at the very least until the CA primary, should he lose big there. If it's close AT ALL I expect he'll go all the way to the convention and lose there.

nah, exit polls are often pretty inaccurate. if it were deliberate, which it's probably not, it'd be to get more people tuning in

axeil posted:

hillary had actual money and campaign infrastructure.

bernie has kool-aid and delusional babby's first election kids. you can't keep campaigning if you have no cash.
Bernie spent like 2-3x as much as Hillary did in NY. A lot of people are pressing that $27 button so he might be doing okay but I think he was treating NY as a bit of a hail mary and instead ran into the diminishing returns of election spending.

Early results indicate we got smoked. I can rest easy knowing that I won't have to stress about Bernie winning the nomination. I suppose I just wish it hadn't gone on so long as to get my hopes up a teeny bit.

Still not too worried about the general either way, just wish we had Mr. Sanders leading us into the glorious warm arms of robust social programs.

nah he sucks, we're better off with hillary.

also this is why the exit polls were so off:

Harry Enten 9:50 PM

If you want an idea of why the exit polls were off on the Democratic side, look no further than the 15th district. The 15th, which is the most Hispanic in the state, is favoring Clinton by over 40 percentage points. The exit poll had Clinton winning Hispanics statewide by 18 percentage points.

Bernie will go all the way to DC, lose that by 30 points, and then head to the convention.

If he is smart, he would start talking to the Hillary campaign Wednesday next week to get some concessions out of Hillary while he still can. The longer he waits, the less he will get.

You guys realize a 60/40 win in California alone would net us over 100 delegates alone. Oregon is going to slaughter Clinton. Too many shortminded people here.

quote:

[]svies [score hidden] 7 minutes ago
If we win California by 10 points, it would almost exactly cancel out losing New York by 20. However:
We're not going to close NY by 20.
California is 2 months away and have time to Bern brighter, 55/45 win is well within sights for a state where Clinton struggled to maintain 50% support even before she had a single well-known competitor.
There are 1400 delegates remaining anyway, they could make California and NY basically irrelevant if NY/Cali basically tie, so long as we pick up 200 more of that 1,400. And upcoming states are far more favorable.
