The Arbiter's default saucer looks too flat and sharp-edged to me-- it's a Federation ship! It should be a bulbous flying saucer with windows everywhere! Fortunately, the Avenger saucer is exactly that. I ended up just using all the Avenger pieces, but I'm probably going to switch to the Arbiter hull and pylons.

As a ship the Jhu'ael fits the same niche but is straight-up better. (right?) Then in terms of whales there's the T6 Scimitars, which are, being Scimitars, ridiculously overpowered. ^^^ Yes, they really are that easy to rile up. Just silently standing next to someone with a "Starfleet Dental' fleet tag can trigger a breakdown at times.Mormon Star Wars posted:What about Romulan t6 ships? For actually flying, the T6 scimitars are basically upgraded T5 scimitars. Since the T5 scimitars were the some of the most overpowered ships in the game even after T6 ships were introduced, you can probably imagine what the T6 versions are like.

Speaking of ship traits, I've pretty solidly embraced AHOD, Supremacy, Reciprocity, and Emergency Weapon Cycle, but that fifth slot is constantly rotating between things I can't decide on. Anyone got a favorite they care to weight in with, preferably with an offensive focus?

Nah, I'm typically at like 1/8 to 1/2 throttle, because max engine power in a JHSS all the time with the random apo or oss burst makes anything close to full speed completely uncontrollable if I want to maintain firing arc/cycles.

Also they're a top-tier gun with excellent capabilities - sniper rifle, 100% shield bypass, immune to Borg adaption - available for chump change, so are a sensible purchase for the space poor that make up most of this game. An additional benefit is both fire modes work with auto fire. Set and forget. I only bought the gun recently but it's been very useful in the Dyson battlezone.

Yeah, I keep one in my off-slot. My main gun is, of course, an upgraded version of the TWOK pistol that causes your enemies to vapourise in a blue glowing horrified pose on every killshot. (For bling, I also highly recommend the one that shoots visual blur like the PPGs from Babylon 5) (unless you have the lobi for a wizard's staff)

Get it, then switch the model to that of the Avenger, which looks vastly better. I personally kept the Arbiter nacelles on it, they're the only thing I liked from the Arbiter, and switched every other part out for Avenger parts.

Didn't geko say shortly after DR that all specializations would be space based because ground sub-specs arent as easy to monetize? IIRC that was the explanation for pilot, and why no other ground content has really been done since then.

I was loving around with my science character to see what, if anything, the skill revamp changed for the exotic/beam thing I have the equipment for. Parsing ISA I saw this guy. Since the revamp my main character got a pretty big boost in DPS so I decided to see how his ship was set up in order to produce such little damage. Oh my Oh god. I'm honestly impressed at how bad this is.
