My PSX had died (and not been replaced) by the time FF9 came out. I looked at the PC re-release but some of it looks like garbage. Tactics was the best one. The War of the Lions translation takes it from gibberish to the best plot of any FF.

Actually the best one is Theatrhythm Curtain CallFactsAreUseless posted:There's a fan patch that applies that translation to the PSX version so you don't have to use the buggy PSP version. It's not buggy at all if you use the fan patch that removes the slowdown.

I don't know, I played some FFT on my iPad over Christmas, and gently caress, there comes a point where you're fighting boring Templar people or something and the pacing just slows to a crawl. That game could be shortened by like fifteen hours, maybe more Best job system implementation though

In Training posted:I couldn't play it either because of how unbearably slow it is. I like the GBA ones more. The GBA ones might be worth a drat if they used charge time and didn't have a plot that is much more boring than The War Of Roses But With Demons.
