If you need XP then coop can be a paradise. Often times people are just going to be in it for daily missions and that's it but it's possible to grind missions with +rank +xp +drop rate boosts and get tons of xp and sellable items. If you're not hosting, you don't pay any AP! That said, the real way you get strong in this game is to make a good weapon pool. Choosing on-element weapons that boost attack, grinding their skills so they boost your damage output by several percent, and making sure you have summons that passively apply attack boosts to your team is the key to dealing damage; if you have a finished pool you can field a team of R characters and destroy things. e: Oh as far as AP goes, it is to your advantage to learn how to play poker so you can go into the casino, double up your way to a few hundred thousand chips at the least, and then buy AP pots and seeds each day until they're cleaned out for the month. ^^^^ As I level these new characters, I can really see how the weapon pool is so much more important than character levels, it's pretty nice. I spent some 1/2 pots to grind out the Free Quests I had through Albion to scrounge together a third 10-roll.  Th-thanks Cygames.

Did two 10pulls and a single pull, got a handful of SSRs including Teena and Carren, too bad I already have Yuel but might sub in Carren for Heles and break up my SSR fire Catgirl supergroup. Also got SR Feather and Rosarina so might have an OK start to a light team as well.

Carren and Teena are both really good. Fire in general seems to have a lot of really good SRs compared to other elements.

I forgot about the free crystals from the character introduction fate episodes. I may be able to do another 10-pull if I burn AP pots sidequesting this weekend. Then Monday I am going to burn some more grinding the character uncap material trials.

It's neat how Sutera and Metera's (fire versions) Introduction fates are the same story from each other's viewpoint. It's too bad they don't have a cross-fate episode like their wind versions.

Ugh, some of these characters' mechanics are hurting my brain. Or rather, trying to make sense of the Japanese wiki writeups of them through Google is hurting my brain. I got Rosetta and am trying to work out what her deal is. I can definitively say that she has a shield that you can activate that also taunts monsters. I believe that the shield gets stronger the more she's attacked while it's up. I also believe that it debuffs the things attacking it, with stronger debuffs as the shield level rises. And apparently deactivating it applies a big attack buff to the party. A lot of this is conjecture thanks to the awful translations; I'm going to have to run her through some fights and keep an eye on what goes on before I'll feel comfortable with how she works. Korwa's description is another train wreck. "All allies gain Espirit (Uses 2 Fil)" Really. Thanks game, that's loving helpful. Really clears everything up. At least in her case after you've cast her buffs you can inspect them and find out what they actually do.

You've got the gist of it for rosetta, if you get the rose barrier buff to 5 stacks deactivating it also grants +30% wind damage as an extra source along side with whatever ATK buff. They're an R character, so probably not that uncommon. There was an event that just passed that had an SR version, but it seems really gimmicky and not that great. The event itself was hilarious though.

Characters are important too since they're your skill toolkit, but raw damage is mostly pulled from the strength of your weapon pool and having appropriate summons to power up their attack.

I havent had much time to sink into the game so I'm looking for some advice to focus my efforts. I got one of the accounts our good forums poster Psiwri rolled up and here is what I have: Cagliostro Yuel Sutera are my main party members. My main summon is Lucifer which is why I picked this account. There are a bunch of other characters and summons but I don't want to list them all out. I don't have a lot of crystals right now. My weapon inventory is full but I have a few SSR weapons. What are some things I should be doing right now? I'm wondering if I can scrape up enough crystals to roll on this event for one but I'd also like to know what my short term goals should be and what I should be building on out of what I have.

Use your EP on raids, even if you don't contribute much you still get rewards. Don't use elixirs to rejoin battles, usually someone will carry you to free stuff. There's always stuff to do, farming materials for upgrading things, trying to get some stuff from the rotating summon bosses, raids, story, side missions, though at the very earliest part of the game you will struggle a lot -- this is just going to be the case until you start getting stuff from events, drops from raids, spare weapons to use as weapon skill fodder, and so on.
