Internet Kraken posted:Speaking of which, Greirat died for me again You have to kill a boss before going into Irithyll dungeon. Send Greirat Either save Siegward and don't tell patches where Greirat went or don't buy the onion armor from patches and do tell him where he went If you save Siegward you also mustn't progress into Irithyll dungeon until Greirat is back. Kill a boss There's also some time limit but I have no idea what it is other than more than 5 and less than 24 hours of play time. killing a boss before meeting the requirements to save Greirat will kill him.

Internet Kraken posted:Speaking of which, Greirat died for me again As soon as you light the Irithyll Dungeon bonfire, Sieg is now stuck in the dungeon cell and can't save Greirat. The other way to save Greirat is to never have bought the armor from Patches and to tell Patches where Greirat went. Patches will only save Greirat if he has Siegwards armor. Failproof way to make sure Greirat lives is to not go into Irithyll Dungeon until after Pontiff is dead. What I do is save Sieg from the well, talk to him in the kitchen, unlock the shortcut by the Pontiff fog door and then go back and send Greirat to pillage Irithyll. Then immediately beat Pontiff and he'll be back in Firelink safe and sound.

Silly me thinking this extremely linear game wouldn't have its quests break when you dare to go outside to intended path in the few cases it lets you

I thought convoluted NPC quests that make zero sense even with a walkthrough were a staple of FROM games at this point. In this run I'm basically ignoring everyone and am just trying to Keep Sirrus happy while also keeping Yuria happy and still somehow figure out how to get Rosaria's soul. That's about it.

npc questlines are so unforgiving. I feel so guilty getting Irina killed before I could give her the Lothric tome due to wanting to try out all the cool dark hexes when I first got them also why the hell did they make the morne set all black and not the better bronze color when eygor wears it? my fashions souls are ruined due to this

That should be really easy, actually. I don't think Sirris or Yuria's questlines cross over at any point, so just keep the two of them happy until Sirris is finished. Then you can do Rosaria's quest, since it doesn't matter when you start that.

I didn't even know you could send greirat again so I didn't even send him until I had talked to Sieg in the kitchen and gotten the dungeon bonfire. Then I sent him, killed sulyvahn and he was immediately back. But yeah you can definitely step foot inside the dungeon, no idea how far you can go before Sieg is moved though. Ed: ^ You need to turn in a single tongue for Rosaria's "quest".

Leonhard has murdered her and retreated to his own world to keep her "safe" from everybody else, you have to kill him to get the soul back, at which point you can use it to resurrect her or trade it in to Ludleth. If you trade it in, you can still do all the covenant stuff with her corpse so.... well I guess maybe Leonhard was right in his own creepy stalker way.

Undecided if I want to go straight into NG+ or start a new playthrough with a different build. NG was hard enough with light dex weapons and no shield, I'm honestly not sure if I could solo the game again like that in NG+.
