InitialDave posted:They're cool, but they seem quite expensive for what they are. There are a few companies now making liftkits for the miata which, surprise surprise, fit right onto the miata based exocet. $7-8k for an exocet, $150 for the lift kit, $money for a donor miata. boom, you're in business.

I've had similar thoughts, but it seems the cheapest publically available battery is still the nissan leaf 30kwh pack at $215/kwh even after the $1k core deposit. A $6500 30kwh pack on 2 warp 11s would probably give you ~100 mile range which isn't too shabby.

That's not even that bad. 15k for the Cobra kit, another 1k for the donor mustang. 20k for the motors, controllers, leaf batery, etc. That's 36k for a Cobra with 1000ft/lb of torque that'll do 150km to a charge. I can't think of a better daily. A more mental version of this one: http://insideevs.com/ac-cobra-snake-oil/

The same kind of beetle they made baja bugs out of. so i guess it's only natural... http://inventory.dezercollection.com/1969-puma-race-car--c-397.htm Seems like a pretty small guzzoline tank. I don't know how you could expect to outrun warboys like that. Although i guess it's possible that's not tire shine, it's blood. edit: i wonder if baja bug bits would fit on a gazelle kit car....... I feel like that needs some fenders/mud deflectors of some sort. Otherwise you would get a constant barrage of rocks to the face.

The Porsche Museum is doing a "40 years of the transaxle" exhibition, and I really really wish I could go. They should have made that targa top 924 a production model. That is gorgeous. Oh, the fashion.

My complaint is they're parked so closely that you can't open the doors on many of them. Unless the intent was you have to drive them all in sequence to get to a specific offering, which may not be time efficient but at least you get to try out a whole bunch of muscle.
