Taito collab is up! Looks like its mission based and I have no chance of anything beyond Very Hard. Also daimakuras.

At first I thought you were joking or had this confused with a different mobage, but nope. Space Invaders are Invading Taito Island. The event runs until July 31st so there's no rush, it's just a couple of challenges for some rewards including a premium draw ticket and cute little Invader tokens that give 711, 1978, and 7110 experience.

Did whoever they hire to do the english translation just not get to the event yet?
|
# ? May 17, 2016 17:48 |
|
Likely because it was through a collaboration with SEGA they had to submit the translation for review and that's a process that takes time and possibly involved revisions that delayed the translated text actually making it into the game.

Supposedly they were busy with another project and hadn't been able to get to the ST collab content.

Please get one for me. Either works. tia -- What is a good way to get CP that's not leveling rank? I got all of tier one mastered. Tier 2 have warrior, sentinel, raider and arcana dueler mastered. Tier 3 is Hawkeye and Dark Fencer. I have 5 cp left after all that.

You can buy the skill boost stones in the casino for 20,000 tokens, up to 50/month. Get SR weapons from Omega fights, feed those to your other weapons for skills. Rare monsters tend to drop R weapons with skills, but you need some of those for the guild war character quests, so don't burn those willy-nilly.

I'm guessing it's safe to burn R character weapons because you can't smash 'em for mats anyways?

I've been keeping my R character weapons mostly out of nostalgia, uncapping for duplicates, but I can't see a good reason to keep them. They're taking up a lot of valuable storage space that could be used for archangel weapons instead. Also: Pro strat for Maniac Invader Trophy. I got it first attempt with Hermit + Magisa by blowing up Morax on the fourth battle and Aether Blasting on the fifth.

What is the number in the star next to my "power" rating at the home screen and one some missions? Also, is my power number a useful metric at all for measuring strength or capability to clearing certain content, or is it only useful as a way to judge my own progress relative to myself?
|
# ? May 18, 2016 03:39 |
|
Seems like it was intended to be a metric for the difficulty of missions on the world map which also have a #d star assigned to them. The actual value is just the sum of the base stats of all your units/weapons/summons and doesnt' take into account any of the stuff that actually makes your team become OP; weapon skills and stacking multipliers. Still can be a general measure of progress though.

I found it to be a pretty helpful gauge starting out, and all the way through at least rank 50/chapter 32-ish for learning how difficult any given quest would be with my teams. Now the personal star is less helpful, but the ones on quests still are a good marker of whether or not I want to bring my A team or if a leveling one will be okay.

When should I start trying to farm the rotating event bosses( Ifrit, Cocytus, etc.) for their goodies, or how should I approach them in general? I can beat the Hard mode pretty easily but when I tried to kill Ifrit I couldn't quite hack Very Hard (my Water team might have just been bad).

I'd say host tia/colossus/ygg/leviathan raids hard and up if possible and open them to guildmates or pubbies to carry you esp since they're half off, getting a few skill level 3 SR magna weapons will help a lot and you can recycle them into stronger weapons as you outgrow them without too much wasted skill fodder. Very Hard Ifrit etc. isn't too tough to be honest but the idea is to at least get one copy of the summon so you can apply that solid 40% buff to the given element (unless it's light or dark) so you can have an easier time with Sagi so you can have an easier time with Vohu who'll give you an easier time with Cocytus who helps with Ifrit etc.

I can beat the Hard mode pretty easily but when I tried to kill Ifrit I couldn't quite hack Very Hard (my Water team might have just been bad). If you can't hack VH, you probably should focus on other things. Once you can do VH, you probably want to try and get one copy of the summon, then when you can do Extreme start farming for more copies to MLB. As for how to approach them, Diablo went pretty easy once I realized you can just focus fire his main body and ignore his buddy, because it auto-dies when he does and doesn't build charge meter when he's in Break. Ifrit the biggest hurdle for me was actually the golem monster in the second wave. I'm not sure how it's defense works, but using the friend summon on it seemed to do a good bit of damage. I actually had a bit of trouble with being able to kill the first wave fast enough too, until I brought Hermit and Aether Blasted the first group, before even laser focusing. The summon on the second wave, and since the golem isn't really too dangerous with some refresh, use the turns auto attacking to build Charge Attack meter for your team so you can 4-chain Ifrit himself. Sagittarius I don't remember what I did, it seemed really straightforward, but since I got a Quetzalcoatl from the gatcha I haven't put any effort into farming more than one copy. The other three I haven't really tried.

loving finally got Raphael to drop after fighting the event boss well over a hundred times, stacking bounty hunter for each fight. Switched to the wind boss for the hell of it, two fights later Red Sun drops. I guess all those other fights turned out useful in the end since I had the mats laying around to immediately buy out the other three copies of Red Sun from the event store and max it. Guess I'll keep it in storage in case I ever get a decent fire team together. More importantly, I'm finally free from replaying that same fight eternally and can go through storyline stuff while it's half off.
