I ordered some third party tokens, and was looking at their ion token design and thought "that's unfortunate." Then I realized that's just straight up the normal design right from FFG. I'm suprised I did Nazi that earlier.

Oh wow, just got a couple of alt-art Poe cards out of the blue (actually true - I thought I said you should just send one to me if you have any leftover!) from Admiral Joeslop! Thanks a million, I'll definitely put them both to use when I next use Poe at an event, haha EDIT: Oh, and apologies about the poor quality of the photo, but you should all get the gist of what's being depicted! EDIT2: Heh and I think I'll just take your word on it that the card's a good source of fibre - I hear that a lot about wood-based products, but I haven't had the inclination to try for myself, at this stage Major Isoor fucked around with this message at 08:02 on May 18, 2016 |

I can't remember who I played a pickup TTS game against last night, but TIE/x7 is Real Good. If I hadn't had Wes to strip at least some of those tokens, there's no way I would have gotten through that list. (it was Two Deltas with x7 and Stealth, and Vader). e: also I was saved by an asteroid

I played Brobots last night at Curio Cavern and went 2-1. B and C with Predator, Adv Sensors, and Autothrusters. B had a Mangler cannon and C had HLC. Brobots with advanced sensors are really fun. I was able to focus and S Loop a ton of times, and focus before getting blocked a few times too. Focus is really important for the IGs since you have so many attack and defense dice. If youre playing well they will be shooting you at range 3 so you get 4 dice and having focus makes a huge difference. Next week I'm going to run D instead of C. I boost a lot, but I s loop more and the right turn would have been really helpful a few times. Asteroids are a pain too and I just need more practice judging ranges for turns but getting beached and losing out on a turn of shooting (and 50% of total firepower for the squad) is a killer and probably lost me a round. The other thing is the low health (4/4) means that 4 shield damage gives an enemy ~25 points. I gave away ~75 points each game, including the two I won by wiping out their whole teams. Feedback arrays and doomshuttles can really hurt since you have 16 health total to lose. In the future I will try to stay out at range as much as possible to keep the range 3 exchange up as much as possible, because while I do a lot of damage I can't afford to slug it out and trade at range 1.

I've actually flown that. It's better at jousts and first passes than the traditional Omega Leader version. It's worse in the late game, especially against palp aces.

I'd be really tempted to replace Wampa with a Gunner on the shuttle and use the remaining points to upgrade the Inquisitor to Soontir and maybe upgrade the pilot on the Doomshuttle? Point is a gunner'd Vader combo is hilarious especially when you can use Palpatine to make sure you miss by changing a hit to a blank so you can Vader twice.

You could also change it to Maarek "The Emperor's A Nice Guy Really" Stele in the Defender and give him a Stealth Device and VI for one point less. Pretend you're flying a terrible escort mission from the TIE Fighter game! Could upgrade to FCS on the Emperor's shuttle I guess, or keep a 1 or 2 point init bid.

I'm going to a regional this weekend, and am fairly certain on a list with Fel, but I'm running him with Targeting Computer instead of Stealth Device. So far in practice matches it seems really good, having the TL allows me to take 1 or no hit shots and turn them into 3-4 hit shots pretty regularly, and usually frees me up for a defensive Palpy when I need it. Additionally it gives you this weird sense of freedom where you don't care as much if Fel gets hit once, because he doesn't lose much as a result (other than health). Most importantly, TC in place of SD gets me a 97 point initiative bid which seems like it'll be a big advantage in mirror matches. Am I crazy for not taking Stealth Device?

Played a few Aturi Cluster missions last night. Got wrecked by the mission which pits you against three elite Defenders plus a swarm of TIEs plus a shuttle that makes all the nearby TIEs always have focus and also has 9 shields. Still pretty fun though. I was flying a Y-Wing, originally planning on making a souped-up stressbot but then realizing that you can totally take Lieutenant Blount on a TLT platform.
