It'll probably be playable at some point and it'll probably still be a long term success because its street fighter, but it just rubs me the wrong way to try and get good at a game when the devs don't even seem to give a poo poo. And I don't doubt that GG has easier combo execution than I think, but while the graphics themselves are excellent, I really hate most of the character designs. And it doesn't help at all that the best character is a bimbo with her tits popping out whos only character trait is that she wants a husband really bad, I mean come on. If you don't see why people are put off by that then I don't know how to help you.

GG's got less characters that exist for having bigass titties than SF. There's a lotta gross anime games out there but it isn't really one of them. Not that Elph is good design, but I mean, it's not anything different from R. Mika/Cammy/Whatever. Also, probably not the thread for it, but Elph is less 'the best' and more 'the most annoying'. What I'm really saying is most off the GG characters that arent potemkin or millia look stupid as hell in a VERY japanese way, and I don't feel the same way about street fighter. Also there's like 100 people in the US that play Xrd and I don't want to put time and effort to join a small and shrinking niche video game community. Maybe I should just pick up tennis, because I love 1v1 games but fighting games are riddled with all sorts of stupid video game crap that I don't care for.

The main problem with GG is having to hang out with people who play other anime games and watch anime and then suddenly you get roped into playing games that are just schoolgirls fighting each other and wondering how your life came to this. elphelt is a gag character at the expense of the whole "waifu" trend in anime and also a really obtuse reference to the the song white wedding and the band guns and roses she has big ol baps because they get people sprung, but there's also a design motif of her having to look overly feminine because the whole gag is taking that to the extreme (like every GG character) whats the excuse for this other then "people will spend more money to pre-order the game in order to get the sexy costume"  e: while making this post someone already made the same point as me, whoops! And it's not fun for me to be bad at GG, I wish I could do all the cool stuff and recognize what my opponent is trying to do to me, but I think you GG fans take for granted how fast the game is, also I didnt play fighters as a kid so doing combos doesn't come as naturally to me as it does to some of you. GG feels like the speed of ST but with way way way more mechanics to worry about, and while that might sound great to some people, it's really not my bag, and doubly so if I can't share it with my friends.

I-No's english "poo poo!" when she whiffs her command grab is pretty great. I-no is a good example of what I'm talking about, she could just be a cool guitar witch but of course they had to give her 1000 belts and a garment that can't really be called a top just so old men can get a bone on to a video game.
