God people get hung up on the irrelevant systems in the game. xp and levels is meaningless except for loot drop boxes, commendation is just an easy way to say "hey cool job guy"

I hate it when POTG shows off how bad I'm playing even if I technically got enough kills for the system to commend me. Especially when I'm playing as Widowmaker. Actually any POTG involving Widowmaker is embarrassing for all involved.

I once got a silver medal for 33 eliminations, while I routinely get gold medals for anywhere between 10 and 20. Or how I might get bronze or silver for a personal record even though I got gold in the category the previous game. Or a gold medal for like 3 seconds objective time.

I really hate the stigma that every team should always have one support and one tank and no more, it undervalues the non-healbot supports or every tank that isn't Reinhardt.

I'm hoping this is just one of those things that people will learn over time by osmosis. Like right now a lot of people in quick play will pick a tank, healer, etc. if the hero select says "No support" etc. but then they'll pick a Symmetra and a D.Va and everyone's happy that we now have a "proper comp"  In some ways, the suggestions almost do more harm than good.

At the highest level of play, stun grenade > fan the hammer is a guarantee. Gambling on reaper/mei/pharah/hanzo(literally never played)/anyone else and being able to aim better than your opponent is a gamble, and as long as E > FtH exists, they won't roll the dice.

I don't care if you win a game or lose a game, "GG" is a stupid phrase. If you saw someone on either team play well, say so, otherwise if you won, it sounds like you're patronizing the enemy team, and if you lost, seeing teammates who played horribly saying it is just frustrating. it's honestly better to say nothing at all. http://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20744904805

Don't pick Zenyatta once you come up against people that can actually aim because you're gonna die if anyone as much as looks at you funny. A helpful Torbjorn or Reinhardt can actually help though. A Zenyatta blasting away from the other side of a Reinhardt shield can do a lot of damage, and the extra armor from a Torbjorn gives him much needed survivability. As a person who readily admits is bad at this game I was having so much trouble with Genji that anybody playing Genji was just a hard counter to me. That is until I decided to try out Mei. Now I can freeze that twitchy ninja poo poo and jam an icicle into his head. Feels so good.

I think I managed to do my first carry today.  Specifically, I came in on a payload escort that was already halfway through the initial timer to cap it, and it looked obvious that the rest of them weren't making any progress. I went Bastion, and one quick charge of Tank mode later, we blitzed through the rest of it no problem.
