This army is cringeworthy every time I see it, but I can respect the original owner for getting rid of it.

I'd imagine a lot of other lower-middle class parents would to. They're so happy when they make something Even if it looks like hot garbage animal poo poo that died of ugliness and went to art hell which is almost all of it.

Better to literally buy your kids heroin than anything from Genes Workshop. I mean you're supposed to be the parent, protecting them from harm, but instead you're an enabler.

Thank christ there is a staggering amount of people who buy poo poo, never paint it, get mad and sell it second hand. It's like buying one of those super cute dogs that's bred unethically from a rescue. Best of both worlds. (In this metaphor the weird social issues of the warham community is represented by the health issues of buying a pug)

There is/was a place near me where the tables for their games were made entirely out of official GW terrain. That's even more baffling. At least people could be buying models full priced from their local shop to support it. No reason anyone should only play with official GW terrain.

I typically buy from a local game store because the dude is a pretty cool guy, but his selection isn't the best, so I've transitioned to searching eBay for Warhammer stuff.

You don't have to use it, but GW had some great terrain. The majority of the WFB stuff was spectacular. Excepting the Sector Imperalis stuff, GW was doing really well on terrain prior to AoS. Also, as a store, it's a lot easier to grab something off the shelf than to rely on your local neckbeards to make and bring in good terrain.

GW's terrain is by and large really nice, and most of it (excepting a number of the AoS kits) is priced fairly consistently with other terrain in its scale. As for a store using exclusively GW terrain, some stores are given GW product like that to do games with, and sometimes they'll sell the terrain at cost to the people who make the terrain for the store, or work some other kind of deal out. I did a bit of that at a game store in Boston a few years ago.

GW gave the FLGS I worked in that really nice small gaming board when they released rules for Warhammer skirmish back in like 2003. That board kicked rear end.

I don't know if anyone could help me, but I have a question someone may be able to answer. When I was a kid I remember reading/looking at this book which covered painting miniatures, but they were very specific ones it seemed. I think it was from the late 70's or very early 80's, because I was reading it in the late 80's and it was old then. It seemed sort of Warhammer-ey because there were a LOT of checker patterns and stuff, and I thought that's Warhammer's shtick? Anyway it covered making fake cliffs or coasts with cork, and had a lot of weird flying air boat things. Not zeppelins, more magical than that, they sort of looked like normal boats but were flying in the air. There were also wizards I believe, I don't know about any green orc types though. Anyway, does anyone have any idea what the hell I might be talking about? This has been bugging me for years, I'd love to see that book again.
