I got pulled over by Crestview cops once because it's a small town with 5 different law divisions dedicated to "protect and serve" and I was stoned out my gourd. I was with my friend, I just got off work and picked him up. The cop asked if I smoked and I was incredulous. I said "Hell no, I just got done working at Hooters (still had the wing flour stained and crusted Hooters shirt) and this is my mananger's number if you need to verify." He then said "Well, I think your friend might." I acted shocked and he said that he found a little nugget in the seat he was in, searched him but didn't find anything (Keep your weed inbetween the gas cap and the gas flap fellas) and that I needed to have a heart to heart with him because it was going to be a bad road that he went down. I told him "yessir! I absolutely will!" and he let us go. We had that talk and we laughed cause what the gently caress ever. These cops were malicious though. I've almost been T-Boned when I had right of way and got a ticket for "reckless driving." I also had a cop weave through traffic to pull me over like I was robbing a bank or something only because he pulled me over like 8 months ago and wanted to see if I had insurance. My recruiter actually gave me 250 bucks to pay that off so I could enlist. I've smoked weed while in the army, I've done coke while in the Army. I'm not proud of it. In fact I failed MEPS the very first loving time I went up there to actually enlist (the first two times were for ASVAB and background checks) because I pissed hot. I was denied a security clearance there but immediately got one from the first unit I went to. I have almost gotten caught, and it really opened my eyes that I needed to stop doing stupid things. I was in Iraq when they tested and I just came back from leave so I don't know how I didn't get caught. Regardless, it's one of those things where I feel that while I made a mistake in the past and I don't plan on repeating it, I also don't plan on putting myself in a situation that could cause me problems if it were to arise. My life is getting to be really good right now. I'm about to separate with 80% VA Disability, I'm moving to San Diego, I literally just got accepted into University of San Diego to get a degree that I really want, and my wife and two kids are really awesome. Yeah I have PTSD and I'm prone to bits of inexplicable stupidity mixed with carelessness but if there is one thing I do have, it's a moral compass. The Army didn't give me that, I had it from day 1. poo poo, I even turned down a girl I had previously dated but never hosed when she met me in a Burger King parking lot drunk off her rear end and wanted me to go do butt stuff to her at a party. I didn't because she was drunk. I used to kick myself for it until I see where she is now, married with a kid, and she actually told me thanks for not following through. She was a whirlwind of poo poo for a bit. I think she finally woke up when she was kicked out of a car in the rain butt naked and black out drunk, and woke up in a hospital after she had died from alcohol poisoning. It's up to each individual. Can you be recalled? Absofuckinglutely. I never denied that, I just said I'm gonna make it loving hard for them. Is it likely to happen? Not really. I can't see why unless you really hosed up somewhere.

I'll be on TDRL for a bit only because I needed to get PTSD added on to my 199 because I wouldn't have been retired otherwise, and it's a good reason why my NCOERs have been poo poo. It affected my job and I didn't realize it. edit: I have to look it up, but I think if I use for the PTSD and am going through treatment that I'm protected. They just passed something not long ago involving weed and caretakers but I have to double check.

He said "You can leave the Army with you head held high, a SGT who has accomplished much in your profession. Or you can leave a Specialist and on extra duty." Yeah, that was enough of a threat to make me realize that I'm gonna toe the line regardless of how stupid bullshit is.

I got called back on terminal to turn in a building key I forgot to turn in, ended up getting into a fistfight with the guy above me who got promoted to SSG because he was a dicksucker. Before that I was going through months of being hosed with because I told them I wasn't re-enlisting. He was giving me poo poo again, I told him I was getting out of the stupid loving army because of pieces of poo poo like him, then he punched me lol. I once locked a guy up for direct crack sale to an undercover and it turns out he was wanted Ina warrant for deserting (or whatever you call it) from the army in 2004. Apparently he finished basic, went home, smoked a shitload of weed and found out they were giving piss tests when he got back, so he just left the base and came back to NYC to deal crack. He was sentenced to 5 days for direct sale to the undercover and I guess the military came and got him from Rikers. so uh don't deal drugs it might catch up with you 8 years later also if you are still doing street level crack deals after 8 years you suck as a dealer
