Vintersorg posted:Cool Injustice 2 trailer. I loved the first game. Netherrealm makes the best fighting titles right now. I think what I loved the most about the previous game though was all of the movie costumes that made it in. I'm looking forward to seeing everything from BvS, Suicide Squad, and the remade DC characters from the last year.

I got a nice chuckle out of him getting abducted by some goons when he easily could have hospitalized all of them. I liked that he looked a bit more normal in Arkham Knight (plus being voiced by Mike from Breaking Bad helped). I remember being a little perplexed about Simmons' casting, but that was before I saw Whiplash. I'm sure he'll probably have only a few scenes in Justice League, but I hope he's on board for the solo Batman movie as well.

Brian Michael Bendis revealed that HBO is adapting his comic Scarlet. http://deadline.com/2016/06/atx-brian-michael-bendis-scarlet-hbo-1201770613/ The synopsis at Bendis' website is pretty intriguing. quote:A “real-world” crime comic in the vein of ‘Jinx’. Scarlet centers on a woman who is pushed to the edge by the fractured modern world, but fights back, starting a revolution in the process. cvnvcnv posted:I love how Wolverine is aging at incredible speed while Xavier looks the same as ever.

More fun with Avengers cinematography: I noticed that the Avengers footage reused in Captain America 3: Civil War was fixed up with (among other things) some substantial cropping. So, what if we applied this fix to the rest of the film? The vast majority are improved this way, although some effects sequences end up with heads cut off and whatever. But that's what led to the realization: Avengers was likely designed to have a variable aspect ratio like with The Dark Knight. But this plan was clearly scrapped - leaving the majority of the film, effectively, open matte.

The shot composition stuff is right on, but I still can't get over how loving horrible Captain America's costume is. It's basically the male version of that terrible Wonder Woman failed pilot costume, you know, the one that was worse than the "Not Wonder Woman XXX: A Porn Parody" costume.

Even though his face is turned away, and he's towering over them, he's just as 'trapped' by the duplicitousness of Loki as everyone else.

The clincher: at this exact moment, they were originally going to cut to the IMAX ratio for a Loki's-Eye-View shot of the battlefield: (Hulk is technically visible as a grey-green pixel on the far left.) With this stuff in mind, you can easily detect all the points where this was going to happen.
