So it could still be that, right?

Maybe. Different news sources have been updating differently. For example, the NYT still has absolutely no mention of Islam, but they have the "domestic terrorism" quote, and have just added that two "discretionary explosions" were used by the cops to distract the gunman- which may account for the talk about bombs.

That's a weird word haha, but I'm thinking Christian and Islamic extremism are both pretty parsimonious. Again, good word though I don't know what it means.

The word, 'parsimony,' on its own means "stinginess or unwillingness to spend money." When used in the context of describing an answer/explanation/interpretation/thesis it can also be used to mean "simplicity and sparingness" (i.e. the most parsimonious interpretation of a phenomenon is the one that invokes the fewest steps or logical leaps. So "my six year old cousin broke the lamp in the TV room while tossing his favorite ball around and watching DBZ" > "a bird flew in, smashed the lamp, and flew out again"), although I'm starting to think that that usage is mostly limited to evolutionary biologists.

Hahahahahahahaha

Hasn't he been getting called out for that for almost a year now? I love that he just now figured to "explain" it. There's no way that won't make the press dogpile on him that much harder.

He gave the "I was imitating him groveling" bs excuse back when it first happened too. It just went away because the Republicans didn't give a poo poo and were too convinced that they could kill Trump by saying he wasn't conservative enough or liked imminent domain. Now its Hillary and the Dems so they're going to push it and constructed an ad that really works on people, so he's going to have to start answering that question again.

Most people are not aware, but this town has one of the larger gay communities in the US. I know a lot of people in that community here. To my knowledge no one I know was killed.

If you had automatic weapons in a crowded nightclub you'd have to be really unlucky to only manage to kill 20 people, I think.

Also I hate that America has taken away the feelings I should be experiencing about something like this.

From what I've seen so far he was US born to parents from Afghanistan? So this might lead to some more interesting stuff than "Ban Muslims from entering the US" rhetoric.

Also, there was a good guy with a gun there and it didn't stop this, so we'll get to see what happens with that usual angle

Holy poo poo, that is more than most military engagements these days. Unreal. It sucks that I don't even feel much about shootings any more.

Also yeah Orlando has a huge gay community, I was actually surprised to learn when I was down there last. Also it's a shithole, which makes the fact even more surprising.
