9 for raising everyone and 4 for raising all but one, harvesting an arm and taking a shield (we'll have to chuck either the staff or shears for that). Update's not for a while so I'll see how it looks a bit later.

Is there any benefit of the shears?

spacejew posted:Is there any benefit of the shears? save a small amount of ESSENCE when you harvest something. If you're all about raising troops it's not worth having them. The staff is only good if you physically kill something with it. Some paragraph choices might only be available if you're carrying certain items even if they appear to be worthless.

Toss the staff and take the shield. We will liberate our skeletal brethren using the overwhelming force of collectivized labor!

Update: Short one tonight. Firstly we raised four of the 5 skellies. The first one we raised as normal. Then, since we've raised 5 dudes at that point we become experienced, allowing us to use FISTS to raise them. When raising a batch of skellies you decide how much ESSENCE you're going to spend per follower and roll your FIST dice, adding the highest roll to the amount of ESSENCE you've spent. If you get higher than the skellie's ESPRIT you succeed and the skeleton joins your army. If you fail you botched it and the thing is ruined. You then move on to the next skeleton of the same type. I spent 3 per remaining skeleton and succeeded three times and failed once. Total cost was 18 for the lot. Not bad for four of these guys: We don't worry about the shield or hammer. Moving on here's the completed version of the last page. 271 complete: We're going to chat with the union guy and hand over our cash. 18: what now? And here's the adventure scroll: Saint Isaias Boner fucked around with this message at 02:14 on Jun 12, 2016 |

Short update tonight: Last time's page, complete: Going into the pit on page 166: The pesky kobold priest has wedged himself in and he knows some anti-undead spells! What should we do? No change to adventure scroll from last time but we're low on ESSENCE,down to 17. Saint Isaias Boner fucked around with this message at 01:59 on Jun 13, 2016 |

There is clearly only one thing to do in this situation. We must utter the traditional skeleton war cry against clerics "Smite me, oh mighty smiter!"

Hogge Wild posted:send your non-undead troops against it and jump behind the corner ... isn't the defining bit of our followers that they're all undead? Regardless tell our followers to Bumrush the priest, if you let those filthy scabs know all they need is some two bit hack with a sigil to keep good union skeletons out you've already given up! Obviously we're slightly too valuable to run right into a Smite, but hey if our friends get blasted we already gave them sweet new bodies! I feel like they owe us a solid here. Plus I think they were mad at him for just pocketing the insurance money every time their factories were burned down by angry mobs and communist insurgents. Anyway they were pretty lax about quality control, here's a fixed version:
