Another day, another forum thread full of vile lies about our fleet:turtlehead posted:Fair warning to poster: Starfleet Dental are what you could call 'professional trolls'. They find in game mechanics that people find annoying and then intentionally rub those mechanics in people's faces. We have something in this game that creates a disco ball with lights that makes people start dancing, and they abused it so much that the devs had to create a new device to make you immune to the dancing device. Because they are “good” at what they do, they usually get away with it. But when Leonard Nimoy died and the devs added a spock statue on Vulcan for people to “pay their respects”, they were out in full force turning the crowd into a disco rave and the devs stepped in and shut them down. On the forums they will use signatures that have strobing/flashing effects that they hope will hurt people's eyes or are just generally annoying to look at. another pubbie posted:OP, I just want to warn you: Starfleet Dental has some bad apples, as does every other fleet. Their bad apples have just gotten a bit more attention than others. So I'm thinking about reinstalling this game - I actually purchased the deluxe edition of it back in 2010, and then walked away and never thought about it again. I've tried to recover the password I used for my account, but Arc is telling me that I don't have an account. Did they take over from Cryptic? Am I completely boned?

When I started regularly placing 1st in CCA event on my romtac alt flying the T6 LTS destroyer with purple XII gear that didn't even have boffs slotted because the game kept forgetting my loadout, well, that made me think real hard about grinding anything else out in this game.

Also that improved tachyon beam trait from the science command battlecruiser or whatever basically guarantees first place unless someone else is using it too.  It both strips the CE's buffs and gives a shield heal to literally everyone in the match and you have to absolutely poo poo out kinetic DPS to even approach the score from that. It's actually an incredibly potent trait in general and makes tachyon beam the best group heal in the game, but there's no need for any sort of support in this game so there's no real reason to slot it instead of a damage boosting ship trait outside of cheesing CCA.

Most of the artifacts just have pointless blurb but the five Vorgon ship ones also display "[System] A new item has been unlocked in the store" when you pick them up. No-one has found what they reference yet so it might not even be fully implemented, but who knows.

You can see it under exploration accolades - deck, weaponry, power, auxiliary and defence. I checked the event tab and no, nothing new to slot there, and no, already checked everything in R&D (which I have maxed in every school).
