I don't understand, everyone said it's a lot of fun to be a logi pilot and they're encouraged. But when I joined a corp, and suggested a basic skill build, to fly like the osprey or something, I get immediately shot down and told I need the t2 caldari ship, and need logi5 and stuff like that. Is that normal?

In small corps that only field small gangs, an extra DPS can be better than a T1 Logi if they're built around only having a couple logistics pilots. Or if you've only got one logi pilot a T2 can be fit to have a strong buffer with the DPS using rep drones, something much harder to do with a T1 ship. That should only be very specific/serious business comps though, and if they're making that a general statement then they're probably elitist idiots.

There are a few of situations where extra logi is bad, especially if it is sub par t1 logi. That said, anyone in a corp that lets in pilots who can only fly t1 logi probably won't be in those situations in the first place. Are you doing incursions with your corp?

They're not doing incursions, I've just been mining as that's what they suggested since it would take me almost 30 days to rat efficiently in a gila according to them. I'm honestly not sure what they're doing in the PVP but I don't think it's any bigger than 30 people.

Hole Squad talk, I think my brief time in it has shown me the light of eve. I liked going out in small 5-10 man roams. Like, more than anything else I've done in Eve. Just couldn't handle the actual living in a hole (really it was mostly just the tedium of scanning down systems). That and you live or die by having scouts all over the place, and that was just too much like work.

Quit your corp, anyone that would subject a newbie to mining (RVCMF excluded) isn't somebody you want to be around. If they have people who rat one of the best things you can do as someone who is too new to rat is follow them around in a salvaging destroyer. You shouldn't really be worried about making money though, everything you can fly at this point should be cheap enough that your corp just throws the ships at you in order to get you out and doing stuff.

I mean let's be real deadtear makes a salient point that deployed soldiers do some hosed up things to keep their mind sane even if it's jerk off to disney cartoon porn. It's not like what elsa did was illegal by assisting his bro with his artistic creativity, just really weird to us normal people. I'd rather our soldiers jerk off to questionable but legal poo poo than blow their brains out from PTSD from watching small children gib all over the place from drone strikes.

I did the 30 day thing for .99 cents on Amazon, and I couldn't train into a mining barge because the 30 day thing was considered a trial account. So they suggested to me I just buy two plexes, and use one to SP inject into the procurer. And the other one to get membership.
