It makes for the occasional fun round and it lets you put together some interesting team compositions. I actually got my first ever hook and one shot kill with Roadhog last night, on a Lucio from about 20m away that was stunned. When my hook recharged I snagged a Reaper who was only 10-15m away, who promptly shot me to death because he wasn't stunned, and the only damage he took was from the hook impact, none of my shots as he stood right in front of me hit him, so yeah, seems like I have no idea how to repeat whatever I did that worked on Lucio.

Also D.Va works a lot better once you dismiss the silly notion that her mech has any active combat utility at all, and consider it an unarmed APC used to get a deadly little Korean girl into an excellent pistol firing position, with the occasional use as a remote control glider bomb. The shortest time one of my mechs has lasted, from mid-battlefield summon to exploding again, is slightly over 1 second, and this was regular fire, no ults involved, on the raised centre Himalayas map on the cap stairs.

Hold down the LMB the second the hook lands and adjust your aim to where you think the head'n'shoulders circle is gonna be. This is about the only way you're going to kill Tracer (assuming her rewind is up, and it is)

Keep in mind different heroes have different heights, so Lucio and Torb you're gonna have to aim down slightly.

Sometimes when pulling from different elevations (usually when you're lower) you end up with screwy results that are going to gently caress up your first shot and there's not a ton you can do about it.

roadhog can do 225 damage with his primary max, so you have to hit most of the pellets for a oneshot on 200 health heroes and reaper won't die either way. melee right after you fire your shot, it's faster than shooting again and helps finish people off after the initial hit. most stuff won't have time to get away from it

I probably shouldn't be giving away this top secret roadhog tech but for enemies over 200hp the move is shoot, hook, shoot, melee not hook, shoot, melee. If they are mid distance the first shot should be m2. It works great on enemies like Reinhardt, Winston, and Reaper.

I don't really care one way or another, but one issue with stacking is that it gives the attacking team a way bigger advantage than the defending team. How do you "adapt" to a team that coordinates switching to 2-3+ of a hero on defense?

Sounds simple, but remember you only have to win one or two team fights to capture a point. So now their stacked team has a bunch of ultimates available, you are going to have to switch to a new lineup and lose all of yours, and in some maps it could even be that the spawn is close enough to where the cap point was that the attacking team could switch back to other things.

I don't think any team has explored this enough yet to exploit it though.

I'd probably run a Torb or a Pharah. Torb will cover areas and his gun is pretty good up close and Pharah can just murder Reaper pretty much whenevs.

Yeah it's pretty fun as Torb when you're armored up to 275 and some Reaper comes floating up thinking he's got an easy kill and you pop a couple of M2s in his dome. I love playing Torb just for his gun and ult alone. The turret is just a nice bonus. I see way too many other Torbs standing there repairing turrets that are actively being destroyed and it's like, why? Let them kill it and pop a new one down somewhere else, then go back to putting rivets in skulls. Also being able to give your team 450 extra HP collectively isn't terrible either.

I know he's not a great hero and most of my fun with him, similar to D.Va, comes from killing heroes that are supposed to be better than him. I really want to get a POTG with him one of these days that doesn't involve the turret at all.

I wish they would expose even more stats. They could do fun stuff: like number of times killed by specific heroes or abilities, the general locations where you've gotten the most kills or died the most, your stats specifically on different modes or on attack or defense. How many total minutes you've escorted the payload. How many Junkrat tires you've blown up. You know they have all this data. Would be fun to be able to see it.

Torb is pretty loving strong. 75 armour is a heck of a lot, his ult is really good, and his gun is rude as. Furthermore, the armour is applied underneath shields so he hugely increases the viability of Zenyatta. He's really good I think. I'm never disappointed to see a Torb on my team.

The more I play this game the more I think Hanzo is purestrain garbage. Has no real strengths and attracts terrible players. If your most played hero is Hanzo you are dragging your team down.

Even D.Va is a better pick than Hanzo. At the very least a good Defense Matrix can nullify a lot of ults. Also D.Va is awesome and I can't wait for her to be buffed.

Hanzo is very fun to play and probably best on Payload attack. One change I would like to see is his cooldown and duration lowered on his Sonic Arrow so you could play him a bit more mobile and get the drop on people. As it stands he kind of doesn't have the tools to fight at close-mid range but that is probably where his weapon is best. I don't play a ton of Hanzo however as someone on my team has always picked him.

Hey, she does a little damage at range. Not much, but enough to put a dent in a 200HP character - especially someone like Genji who can't just immediately devour her at that range. Even with her massive critbox, all that armor and HP means Genji will at least need to run for a healthpack after killing her.

It does open up a tunnel for my team so my style is basically to just use it to force the enemy to back up on a problem choke.

Ofc I think 2 of my most effective heroes are DAD:76 and Junkrat but I have slightly negative winrates with both. I think it's because they are my "default" heroes if nothing seems to be working for my team.

My most effective is Zenyatta but i kind of just play him whenever i feel like it regardless

Pro dva strat is to just run away from all fights as you are much more durable and cannot be crit. :science:

I do hate to see dva as Tracer, even with the crit box her armor makes it take ages to actually kill her, Tracer is very squishy and will actually die even at medium range, and dva's boost can make it hard to run away if you don't have all three up.

I mean, you still won't die to her most times, but it's annoying and you kind of just have to leave.
