And the mercy seat is awaiting,
And I think my head is burning,
And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth,
And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.
First round was McGregor abandoning what made him dangerous at feather and instead becoming a mini Wanderlei while Nate moved slightly backwards and laughed at him.

It was actually Artem Lobov vs Nate Diaz after 8 minutes had passed. The old twin magic.

I do think UFC 200 is the better card myself, but one thing to consider is UFC 200 has three prominent rematches on it in Jones vs Cormier, Edgar vs Aldo, Dillashaw vs Assuncao while UFC 202 only has the one big rematch Conor vs Diaz.

mmajunkie posted:

Interim UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has provided a little background on his manager’s recent request to have veteran MMA referee “Big” John McCarthy blocked from overseeing his title unifier with champ Daniel Cormier at UFC 200.

Jones [...] was short on details about his problem with McCarthy, but said it amounted to “the accumulation of some things that were happening through some fights, and just our personal interactions,” adding, “I would prefer any other referee but him.”

“I really don’t want to get into it too deeply,” Jones told MMAjunkie during a media day in Los Angeles. “I’ll just say, based on some interactions that I’ve had with him, I don’t really feel as if – I just feel it would be something that is, energy that isn’t necessarily the best in there, and to him, it’s just refereeing a fight. He does it probably once a week somewhere. For me, this is my life, this is my story, this is my legacy, this is everything to me, and if I don’t agree with his energy that he brings to the fight, if I was him, I wouldn’t want to be a part of it."

“I’m not going to go so far as to say, you’re not welcome, but why would you even want to be a part of someone’s big night that doesn’t want you in there with them. I would respect that and say, ‘I’ll back out of this one. I don’t need to be in this fight if they don’t want me.’ I don’t feel as if we’ve had the best interactions over the years, and I would just really hope he’s not the referee.”

The Nevada State Athletic Commission, which regulates UFC 200, recently approved McCarthy to referee the fight. NSAC Executive Director Bob Bennett said he reviewed a letter of opposition filed by Jones manager Malki Kawa and said the complaints weren’t substantive enough to switch referees.
