it's probably partly because the ds wasn't a graphical powerhouse + isn't meant to be displayed this blown up but man this game is kinda ugly looking for a non-spinoff mario game

there were a couple endgame levels in this that i remember enjoying speedrunning back when it came out ugly and a little rote but i think this is a fine speedgame

I remember really liking the 2015 run, and Trihex doing the first run of the marathon and being super on point the whole run. It is crazy the difference between runners that can commentate and play at a high level at the same time and some of the other folks who cant.
