The resigned Shadow Cabinet Members find some way to resign again.

Nigel takes back his resignation, reinstating himself as the leader of UKIP, until he resigns again in the evening.

Boris Johnson declares that he's going to run after all, prompting Gove to drop out from the race.

Nothing. The Media have been waiting for the day for a decade, so the only thing that could would be a massive terrorist attack or war.

The EU Death Star edges nearer to completion. Andrea Leadsom's mothership emerges from beneath Tory HQ and begins striding across the landscape. A copy of Mein Kampf is found in Jeremy Corbyn's local library.

Why indeed- if your point is more generally "the EU is pretty poo poo at things" then you aren't going to find many people here who will make anything of a strong case otherwise.
I'll make a case otherwise. It's been pretty drat good at avoiding another bout of continent-wide industrialised warfare, which was its original point. It's been pretty good at letting a continent full of small and mid-sized nations negotiate on equal terms with giants like the US and China, and in future India, Indonesia, Brazil etc. It's been pretty good at managing the transition of a bunch of ex-Soviet puppet states, although the transition was much rockier for some than others. It's managed to get 28 different countries to agree on things like environmental standards and consumer-product regulation. It's subtly encouraged people to have an open-minded, cosmopolitan outlook through things like Erasmus and freedom of movement generally. Those are not nothing. The EU has a lot of flaws but people often overlook its many upsides and I am sure going to miss it once our transition back to rain-soaked greyscape isolationist little Austerity Island, with boiled cabbage for breakfast, lunch and dinner, is complete.

A crash in house prices is one of the few Brexit silver linings. Whether it will actually happen (the BoE has already pretty much said it'll cut interest rates below their current 400-year lows and print billions of extra poonds) is another issue but I'd love it if it did and it would be hugely to the benefit of most people under 40, who have been hosed in almost every other respect lately.

Ah so when you argued that free movement is bad because people who did not negotiate free movement don't have free movement, you actually meant that you're against the common currency and the negative effect of the euro on import-based economies that are not currency sovereign. Gotcha.

Turns out if large parts of your party think the best electoral strategy is to position yourself one angstrom to the left of the Tories then you leave a whole bunch of popular left-wing policies for them to steal because you've abandoned that ground in the reactive, cringing pursuit of making yourselves "respectable" :iiam:

Ok whatever, I'll bite. Remain was about protecting the interests of the super rich, Blyth presents a case as to why. Corbyn should have stuck to his guns and been a voice for leave from a leftist point of view. I later argued that being anti free movement of labour within the eu isn't necessarily a racist view to hold. Out of the EU we have the option for a more socially responsible immigration policy. But yeah, whatever, if you think that needs spelling out go for it.
