I just found Buttlord thanks to the OP and I have to ask if it's still updating very slowly or if I should give up on it. I fear the worst, but hope for the best.

He could enter the lab, sure, but could he find out the secrets Kit is keeping from him? My read is that the dragon incident happening so soon after infiltration by that octopus lady has made Friedrich suspicious, and he wants to make sure Kit isn't doing something horribly stupid. Which she is. So that could be interesting.

Entirely possible, but I more get the impression that the only thing that's been stopping Friedrich from looking around the lab is "Kit has been literally constantly in it". Top two theories about the wound: 1) It's old but unhealing 2) People do try to assassinate Kit. They just never get close.

Yeah if you look closely at the panel where he's pressing the needle into the...thimble thingy, you can see the outline of a glowing sphere contained within that the needle seems to be 'activating'. Astral projection/communication device, judging by the cover?

I have to wonder if Ricky wouldn't be far higher up the ladder than he is if he weren't a Gamba. Dude has clearly seen some poo poo, and even Pohda called him a war hero. I'm just not certain how much, if at all, Gamba's escape from the usual opossum racism.

I think all the information we have on that is:Bobby posted:Short-tailed opossums/Gamba only have very tiny natural reservoirs of magic, but in a world where possessing magic basically means “legally considered a person,” the difference between “some” and “less than none” is pretty big. The fur around it is shaved though, which is normally something you do to clear access to a wound for treatment. Most of it should have grown back over time (except the stuff directly affected).

Unless you have to keep continually restitching the unhealing wound, in which case you'd just continue shaving the site?

Hey, there's a webcomics thread. I shouldn't be surprised. So after a long hiatus from webcomics, I've picked Broodhollow back up, and discovered Stand Still, Stay Silent & K6BD. I'm digging them all again, particularly the Lovecraftian feel of Broodhollow, and the postapocalyptic + magic themes of SSSS. Any others along those lines that I absolutely have to read? The only other long running or notable webcomics I really read back when I checked them out daily were Starslip Crisis and Spacetrawler.
