What, these Nazis used evolution, therefore intelligent design is true is not a coherent argument? And yes, that is what Ben Stein, noted economist who did not see the 2009 financial crisis looming, said.

Jack Gladney posted:It's appallingly poorly reasoned and dishonestly presented. It turned me against Ben Stein. There's an extremely great review that I think pretty much nailed the prevailing attitude of Ben Stein before he was broken, I believe, by 9/11 (a lot of people were): Mr. Brayton posted:There once was a time when political commentator Ben Stein was... not cool. He was always a bit of a droning blowhard. But he was the droning blowhard you rooted for. He was that square, smug relative who had such a good sense of humor about himself that you still looked forward to catching up at all the parties. Obviously, this is mostly the fault of his timeless cameo in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, which suggests a man who secretly knows that he's puffed up and wants to make fun of himself and people like him; then again, nobody watching Ferris Bueller really notices in the moment that writer-director John Hughes was a pretty square conservative himself. Regardless, for almost twenty years, Stein's appearances in movies and TV shows, including the batty quiz show Win Ben Stein's Money, suggested a guy who had his political beliefs, but didn't take them at all seriously - he was the movement conservative for people who despised conservatism. My defining Ben Stein moment was when I saw him delivering conservative talking points on some cable news show and his closing argument was "yeah I'm getting paid to say this, but your doctor gets paid to tell you that smoking is bad for you and you still listen to him " which is just uuuuugh

Yeah, Bruce Almighty really surprised me in how far it took the adage "When God wishes to punish mankind, He answers their prayers." Evan Almighty, on the other hand, is terrible, awful poo poo to be avoided.

Voiceless https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9MapTFqUCU Mission quote:Voiceless is a call to the church,” said Jason Jones, co-executive producer of the film. Plot quote:Jesse Dean is a recently discharged soldier who had a rough upbringing, but because of his wife, found God and now is totally devoted to his faith. Cast Rusty Joiner Rusty delivers a star turning, award winning performance as Jesse Dean, bringing out the texture and detail of one man's struggle to take a stand amidst adversity from all sides. Rusty has had a variety of film roles including 'Dodgeball' (with Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn), 'Last Ounce of Courage' and many television hit shows such as the 'The Closer', 'Bones', 'Close to Home', 'CSI Miami’ and 'ER'. He has received raving reviews from piers and critics alike for his role in Voiceless, which earned him a nomination for 'Best Actor in a Feature Film' at the Northeast Film Festival 2015. James Russo Possessed with a stare that can bring shivers down one's back, he has been quite the accessible villain over the years, and although he has portrayed many memorably gritty, tough-guy gangster roles in the past (such as 'Open Range' (2003), plus 'Beverly Hills Cop' (1984), 'We're No Angels' (1989), 'Donnie Brasco' (1997), 'No Way Home' (1996), ‘Django' (2013); in 'Voiceless', Russo takes that same edgy, Brooklyn personality, but applies it to the character Gil Solomon, the inner city, no-nonsense pastor who will stop at nothing to protect the reputation and future of his church. Paul Rodriguez Paul has been seen everywhere on cable comedy showcases and feature films, including Paul Rodriguez: 'Behind Bars' (1991), 'Crossing White Lines' (1999), 'Paul Rodriguez Live'!: 'I Need the Couch' (1986) and 'Loco Slam' (1994), ‘Timechanger' (2002) all of which have helped him to become one of the best and best known Hispanic comics in the US. In ‘Voiceless', Paul steals the show as the cocky, inner-city homeless shelter manager, 'Virgil Adorable'. Brian Anthony Wilson Brian Anthony Wilson (Will Taylor) began his Film career nearly 20 years ago when he was personally cast in the Supporting Lead role of 'Woody' by Academy Award Winning Director/Producer, Kevin Costner in his post apocalyptic Film,"The Postman". Someone should make a biblical film solely about the commie parts of the bible where Jesus tells a rich man to sell all that he owns and give it to the poor because no rich person will ever enter heaven ever and drives the moneychangers out of the temple with a whip. Bonus points if the scenes of money changers are intercut with lshots of giftstores and ATMs in megachurches and televangelists raising money for private jets.
