I'm not sure if the Ghostbusters article is funny per se or if it's only funny because I'm imagining Asterios' voice reading it. A huge dilemma in my life.

I thought the GB article was pretty good. Asterios has clearly captured the prototype for a reviewer beaten down by the potential for any negative public opinion, to the point where even their manner of speaking is non-threatening. [Well, that's how I read it.]

I didn't really get the broken English thing; it seemed to get in the way of the joke. Capturing a typical review's extremely imitable tenor in addition to its substance would have been much funnier - in fact, it's possible to pile on so much stylistic parody that the writing itself becomes hilariously incoherent in the breathless kind of way that this seemed to be aiming for. Mark Prindle isn't writing about Pink there like a caveman; he's boiled a hack's writing style down to its most irritating tics and built an entire review out of them (plus some gimmicks of his own, but they work in the context of his site), while still communicating a discernible, hackish appraisal of the music. This does more or less the opposite, and while I recognize that its more specific (and very astute) points need more direct communication than broad parody, I don't think that it needed to come at the expense of reading like a movie review, which is what it's supposed to be mocking after all. Sorry that this is so late; I've been doing a bad job of keeping up with the front page. Sham bam bamina! fucked around with this message at 09:41 on Jul 18, 2016 |

Writing just a straight ahead parody would have been boring. A lovely film review already reads like a parody.

Yeah, I was kind of a dick before but I liked this one, as sham said it felt very SA. Edit: For more meaningful feedback, I generally don't like list articles, and didn't think the lists you wrote previously were that good, but I like the ones you came up with for this and you integrated them into a traditional sa style article in a good way. As much as President Baby has been living up to his name in this thread, he has won me over on the front page. Nothing lazy or clickbaity about any of these past few articles; this one especially seems like an active throwback to that whole early-2000s Seanbaby/I-Mockery/X-Entertainment scene, which I have a real soft spot for.

The Paperboy article was pretty great. Someone mentioned Seanbaby, I agree, it has that entire Seanbaby "I am going to take something ridiculous and make it more ridiculous" air to it. I could go for an entire series of these!

I liked the hillary article because i've always agreed that if the american mid to upper crusts want to maintain their livelihoods, they need to put hilldawg in and keep this racist western murder machine going cause it's just too late to hit the brakes now. i don't understand the appeal of a let's play, and even less so for a game like pokemon go. but it did remind me of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA2tpPl-9GQ
