MWO is barely an MMO though, it's World of Tanks with Mechs. But yeah, there's worse out there. Tons of Asian shovelware, everything formerly Sony, Guild Wars 2, the list goes on. Honestly at times STO could see brilliance in some areas and it could still reach and hold mediocrity.

Games with pvp elements especially get a lot of attention because people will join games just to kill goons. Also goons bring devs ice cream.
