And I don't think it's sabotage; I think it will be ultimately inconsequential and nobody gives a poo poo in the long run. It's just gross and ugly, and reveals their inability to accept wins for what they are.

Im not trying to persuade anyone of anything. There is no such possible thing. Privilege is strong and everyone is always right to themselves. The protester's voices are part of the future of the world, which is actually my point. Accusing protesters of sabotaging an election because they don't agree with the party base plays into the narrative that you are in or you are an annoyance and shouldn't have a voice. I don't think that the party of progressive values should encourage that narrative because this is the process by which minority views are marginalized and under-represented.


Well then we agree on the not-sabotage (and ultimate inconsequentiality) side of things. I don't agree that it's gross or ugly or about accepting wins. People want to be heard. And relying on entrenched systems- with notable, frequently cited innate inequality structures- to represent those people doesn't always work.
