Dude launched into this really vicious tirade about how Brett Farve would never sleep with her and he all THE ROCK listeners were sick of her. He was losing his mind and wouldn't drop the radio voice during the whole rant, even when she burst into tears. A few minutes after she starts crying, she just says "ladies, this is what a man with no penis sounds like" and they have to dump out of whatever he says next, then all you hear is the door slamming before they finally go to music.

Who would the audience be for an Opie solo show? At least with Jimmy there is the potential for some of the Opster's beloved "edge" to materialise, but with him gone it will be completely milquetoast. I don't think you'd honestly even be able to classify it as a "comedy" program.

I wonder what Jimmy will do next. Weekly podcast makes sense since it'll be easy for him to record with his comedian buddies and lets him continue to do stand-up throughout the country. I'd love for him and Ant to do a show together but I loving hate the idea of paying a monthly fee for a "network". Just give me a weekly podcast with those two and I'd be happy.

Also if Sirius continue to throw money at Jimmy I'm sure he'll continue to do the show. Guaranteed big payday from a radio gig is still the best job running for most stand-ups.

I'm really not sympathetic to Jimmy after listening to the clip. If the problem with DL was that bad, he should have tapped out for it - instead, he was a passive aggressive baby whose moping was bad enough for DL to have to acknowledge it. I'd be livid if I was in his situation too and a guest that confirmed to participate in an expensive production for a show I desperately need to succeed in order to validate me as a performer - I get it. But that's Hollywood bullshit that happens all the time and you got to deal with it in a professional manner and take care of it behind the scenes. And it sounds like a single phone call would have resolved the resentment Jimmy held since his real issue was fearing DL thought his show wasn't good enough rather than an issue of poor scheduling and communication. If they passed on DL two times prior, I'd say enough time was given to Jimmy to accommodate his feelings and give him the opportunity to resolve it. But at some point, it really does hurt the show if you can't bring on a reliably good, engaging guest because of a professional grudge being held by a host (or "guest" according to his new character, Melodramatic Jim). If given the chance to tap out - tap out! That, or deal with it upfront instead of sulking until someone pays attention to you. Likewise, to get defensive about Opie suggesting he deal with it on air when he's suggested it of other guests countless times is just *yech*. After all that, I don't think Jimmy is going to quit unless there is something at UFC for him to play a much more consistent and larger role in because there is no way that podcast pays enough to compensate for not resigning. But if he does, I think bringing on Mark Normand as second mic is the only way I'd ever listen to it on a regular basis.
