Just saw the latest episode. In the dinner party sequence, I found it odd that the Wellicks were a complete family. I remember he met Mrs. Wellick last season and she asked where her husband was, but did she ever clarify to him that she meant Tyrell? Or am I remembering wrong? Great episode, as usual.

It seemed clear to me that Eliot figured out who she was early on in their conversation.

Elliot was researching/hacking Tyrell early in the first season after they met at Allsafe, he'd seen photos of the couple together and commented about his life appearing suspiciously normal

Yeah, I remember back in grade school when my friends and I were just starting to learn the game, and we would stalemate all the time. Granted, we only really knew the very basics of the game and had little knowledge of any sort of strategy, but it seemed to happen quite frequently at the time.

Draws are relatively common, but a stalemate is a special kind of draw in which no legal move can be made and is not a checkmate. They're really rare to encounter in noncontrived situations.

If you don't know endgame strategy, it can be hard to get a checkmate with just a few pieces left, so stalemate isn't super uncommon. However, the stalemates in the show were early game and contrived so this is all moot.

Reminder: everything that happens in this show is fictional
|
# ? Jul 31, 2016 16:13 |
The fact that they were contrived just reinforces the point of why they happened to begin with. It wasn't coincidental that they had a stalemate every time, because neither side wanted to win or lose the game.

Since the show's already done "online child porn" and Elliott would likely not give a poo poo about drugs, I think Ray's online business will end up being contract killers - and it will turn out his site was used (possibly by Darlene) to hire the guy who killed Gideon.

Honestly, his character is so affable it's either going to be something horrendous to clash with his personality, or it's just some silk-road like service that sells drugs.
